Well today we have moved to Weymouth for 3 days, we seem to have finally cracked the awning, we now don't have any baggy bits!
The sun's come out to celebrate! We have a lovely sea view as well! 😍

We had a last minute visit to the farm yesterday, o really don't know what it is about these llamas and alpacas that make me laugh. They have daft faces but beautiful eyes and eyelashes!

Oh yeah, snd there's also a goat on a trampoline and Tony on a child's toy! 🤣

It was a unplanned morning out. We just had to get out in the sunshine!

Now to get ready for our trip down to Weymouth next week and hoping the weather continues! 🙏

Here are a few pictures of our weekend break in Snettisham, Norfolk.
We stayed at Diglea Holiday Park which we enjoyed despite the ridiculous weather!
At one point we had 45mph winds, but what a way to test our pop top roof! (we did put it down at one point as we were scared!)
It was a lovely campsite and would definitely go back again when the weather is better.

We also had a quick stop off at Old Hunstanton, which was equally windy, but the rain held off.

SHOCK NEWS:We had no ice creams or fish and chips this time!😱
(But meeting George Clooney made up for it!)🤣

The freedom of travelling has already bought us so much pleasure and excitement for the future, it has literally given us a new lease of life and a fresh perspective on everything. (even though we are newbies!)

Last week on our first holiday, we had a couple of days to be spontaneous because we had the days off work but didn't book anything as the weather was supposed to be rubbish.☔⚡🌨
It turns out that it was very hot and so we stayed for a couple of night at Crantock, Newquay. 🏖👌

This turned out to be our favourite of all 3 campsites even though we had been very efficient and booked the other 2 beforehand. The site is called Quarryfield Caravan site and it was a family and dog friendly campsite with a 10 minute walk to the beautiful beach. We will definitely be returning! ❤

Getting ready for our trip away and we ordered some samples of some designs of mugs and T-shirts. We love the quality of them, they are well made and can be personalised if needed.

This maybe a boring photo but this more than just a seat to us!!

We just wanted to share our progress.
This is phase one of our van modifications, we have had a swivel base put on our passenger seat so now there seems bags more room inside (strange illusion!) So we can now have a table inside and eat, which is something we struggled to do before.

We obviously had to test it by having fish and chips and a cheeky beer (yes, on a school night! 😱)

It worked well and was a nice place to sit, obviously we were joined by an annoying fly......🪰

How do they always manage to get in no matter how small the entry point? 🤣

We have also had an awning rail fitted which means hopefully no more stressful magnetic strips which come off, we shall be trying this out at the weekend and sticking this on our you tube channel.

We are so excited about our up and coming trip to Devon and Cornwall in a weeks time.

Last weekend we had a lovely weekend in Sutton on Sea , Near Mablethorpe Lincs.
We stayed at Cherry Springs Touring Park which was really nice, it is an adult only site with big hard standing pitches with electric hookup and great facilities.
Sutton on Sea is a lovely little place, with a beautiful sandy beach, there was a lot of sea shells there.
The only down side to the town was 40p to go to the toilet! 🤨

Last weeks visit to Abbey Park on Leicester, the rain just held off! We went round pets corner and the peacocks were a big hit!

Hope to get to the coast this weekend there's a rumour the sun is making an appearance!

We headed out yesterday for a spontaneus overnight stay at a local-ish campsite!

The sun was shining and we couldn't resist. 😁

We went to Fox Furrow, Houghton on the Hill Leicestershire. A very basic campsite but in a lovely location.

We packed away just in time for the predicted rain!

We have just got back from our trip to Mappleton in Hornsea and a quick visit to Whitby!
We ended up having 2 lots of fish and chips (rude not to!) Mappleton is a very quiet place with a small pebbly beach and free carpark!
We stayed at Seaview Country Park Campsite, which was fab! It's only been open since the beginning of April but it's a lovely spot!

We have a day off work today and the weather is rubbish again. We went to our local wacky warehouse with our youngest granddaughter.
I am pretty sure Tony enjoyed it more than she did! 🤣🤣
Mind you, keeps you fit running round after a toddler!

Well! What a day it has been, we went for a walk on the beach.
We walked and walked and there was no way to get back up to the road!
Usually on the beach there are steps back up, but there were none! 🥺

6.5 miles later (one way)
We found some steps, hoping for a pub!
Nope....🙄
We were in the middle of nowhere and our route back, although parallel to the beach, brought is to winding country roads with no pavements! WE DON'T ADVISE THIS!!

We are still alive to tell the tale buit just goes to show you should plan the route first!!

So, all in all we walked 13 miles today!!
Our legs ache!
We have earned a gin 🥂

We are back again in Norfolk.

It only took us half an hour to put the awning up this time! We're getting better! 💪
We have been for a walk along the beach and now Bruno is shattered.Back to the van for a glass of vino 🥂

We tried out our ridgemonkey pan yesterday to cook burgers in the van. It all went very well 👌 (only one finger burnt!) Burgers with Peppers and tomatoes. Great snack!

If you guys have any healthy food ideas for camping please let us know! 😁

The weather is looking good for the Easter break so hopefully we will be doing some outdoor cooking!

We had a great weekend in a place called Mundesley in Norfolk. Larry was the smallest van on the site!
The site was called Sandy Gulls Campsite, its an adult only site and it's in a great location.

We were literally overlooking the beach ⛱
It's a quiet place and with nothing much to do , but we loved having the beach to ourselves, and the peace and quiet.
Bruno loved it too!
We have recorded a video and a review of the site and this will be uploaded to our YT channel later.

Just wanted to share this picture from our 5 year old granddaughter. We think it's pretty good!
It's a T5with a pop top she copied from a photo in a magazine.
It's funny even at 5 years old she knows what we love!
Can't wait until its all finished and we can take her away in it!

We just cannot wait until the weather gets so we can get out on the road!

We have been out today to Rutland Water in Leicestershire. We walked about 3 miles it was very nice bit windy today.
We went to the Whitwell car park and walked around Sykes Lane Car park.
We will definitely go back when it's warmer.

Today we went to the Caravan and Motorhome Show at the NEC in Birmingham.
What a day! We didn't realise how big the exhibition would be!
We walked round for around 6 hours.
We saw some stunning vans and motorhomes, we were really in our element!

In this photo we are with Steve and Lyndsay Radford AKA The Roaming Radfords. An inspirational family that we discovered on YouTube who travel around in a motorhome reviewing sites and places and generally living their best lives! 😍
They were our inspiration to get our van and start the journey.
Thanks for the selfie, the inspiration and the goodies!

We could have spent thousands and thousands....

We did buy something though!!! apart from food, we bought a kitchen whisk!

This is our prel-loved van.
We have spent quite a bit on it already to get it to how we want, and look forward in the next few weeks to get out and about again. This van has opened up a whole new world to us, although originally we wanted a big motorhome, not only do we not have funds at the moment but this little beauty gives us the best of both worlds as we can use it as an everyday vehicle.
Also just going to a local beauty spot, Escaping life and having a cuppa!
We love seeing all your inspirational posts and fabulous pictures.

We need a name for our van, we just can't agree so far!!

Tomorrow we are excited to be going to the caravan and motorhome show!
