Apple remained the only possible buyer of the rights to the anniversary episode of "No Time to Die" Bond. The Hollywood Reporter, citing its sources, notes that the tech giant is willing to pay no more than $ 350-400 million for a 12-month exclusive license to show the tape through its streaming service.
This is significantly less than the MGM studio calculated, the price tag of which started at $ 650 million. Some experts even named the sum of 800 million dollars. Time will show whether the deal will take place on Apple's terms, but in the meantime MGM continues to lose money due to another delay in the release of the film in distribution.
The production cost is estimated at $ 250 million, with at least $ 50 million to be spent on promotion. If the tape is still released, cinemas will take about 50 percent of the fees, a certain percentage will be paid to the partners of the studio, as well as to the creators, including the leading actor Daniel Craig and director Carey Fukunaga, whose contracts provide for such additional remuneration.
