During the time of Habakkuk, and even in our generation, we can realize that we may not know the answers to all of our questions regarding the injustices in this world, but, as time progresses, we see the work of God and we get to know Him better.

LONG POST PERO I REALLY WANNA SHARE (kasi kakatapos lang ng missions conference in a few churches I know and church namin mismo) During our missions conference, Pastor Espino mentioned that one of his mentors, whenever making a purchase or spending money in general, would give the same amount to missions. For example, if he buys something for $10, he will also give this same amount to his missions/faith promise giving. Or something like that (hehe 1 week ago na din kasi pagbigyan pls)

As in NEVER. May time din na nakapagpray ako, “Please let me try You, Lord. Help me give this amount. Alam ko kaya Mo to iprovide for me para din sa mga servants mo in different fields. And gusto ko may missions giving testimony din ako. Gusto ko blessed din ako, hindi lang yung ibang givers sa church.”

Sharing this not to brag about my giving, but to brag about God’s provision. Naalala ko nung 2018, actually my mom Elvie made me realize this pa, di talaga sya self-realization, sabi ko “Lord, wala akong income now, gusto ko din mag commit sa missions. Pag nagka work ako, magcocommit ako.” Mejo lack of faith pa nga sya sa part ko kasi wala akong nilagay na amount. Kung may amount yung siguro mas malaki sweldo ko now haha joke. Anywayyyy, 2 weeks later, nagkawork ako, and I was able to make a commitment sa aming faith promise/missions. God provided that job sakin kasi even yung opportunity to give, Sya pa rin yung nagbigay.

Idk how to end this post, pero I guess this is an encouragement to my churchmates and for members in other churches to remember na just because we’re not called to foreign (or even local na hindi natin place) countries to be missionaries doesn’t mean na wala na tayong magagawa. May magagawa tayo, not only through prayer, but through our resources din. Yun lang hehe thanks for listening to my TED talk 😅

If you haven’t experienced the love of Jesus, you can’t be expected to show that kind of love to others. You can’t be expected to love your enemies, to love the unloveable, to love unconditionally.

But if you have experienced Jesus’ love, I hope that love won’t end just with you. I hope you share it with others, too.

I love this story by Read Choi so much.

I’m a hypocrite too and the church is indeed full of them, but I’m glad that God loves me and those other hypocrites so much that He sent Jesus to save me.

So much love. So much grace. So much mercy. 😭 Totally undeserved, yet God still freely gave salvation instead of giving us what we actually deserve — eternal separation from our Creator in a damned place.

If you, too, are a hypocrite but you still want that salvation from Him, all He is waiting for is you. There’s no gimmick, no ultimatum… all you need is just to reach out to Jesus.

Romans 10:9-10
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Christmas is about a special kind of love. A love that gives only the best and not dependent to what can be offered in return. God sent His Only Son for us to receive this kind of love. A love only He could give. This season of giving, may we share not only monetary gifts but also Christ — the Bread of Life.

"God showed his love by sending his Son into the world so that we could live through him." (1 John 4:9)

This year, God has been faithful by giving the people He knows I need. I never expected some of them to be in my life, but they popped out just when I need them to. I didn’t even know I needed someone like them, until God sent them my way.

God has also been faithful in terms of my job. In a world full of uncertainties, I still have my job and I am thankful for the people in my job.

God has also been faithful in His ministry. We all aren’t deserving but God continues to give us opportunities by which we could serve Him.

2023 has been a rollercoaster ride set on fire for a lot of people, but God is still faithful and I know He still will be in 2024.

They reveal how think about God and of Him. Is He just a wish-granting gene, or a sovereign God in our lives.

Don’t get me wrong, we should pray specific prayers by faith and with great faith, but we should always pray how Jesus prayed:

“Not My will, but Your will be done.”

(quote from Bait of Satan by John Bevere)

When I read this, I thought it was a difficult pill to swallow because who goes out into the world to get themselves hurt, right?

But then I remembered someone saying that if you ask for patience, God will give you an opportunity to practice/test your patience, and I think that concept/idea also applies here.

When we ask God to help us love other people, especially those “difficult” people, sometimes He allows us to experience hurt so that we could stretch our love. He wants us to trust Him and remember what His Son did, He forgave those who hurt, betrayed, and mocked Him, and He wants us to follow Jesus’ example.

So now, when we get hurt, let’s surrender it to God. Allow the hurt to come, because it will show us God’s grace and it will remind us that God still forgave us even during all those times we hurt Him with our disobedience and rebellion.

When we give, we also gain lessons and blessings! These are just some of the ways that giving can impact you!

To the warrior who's fighting silent battles lately, may this verse remind you that God hears your prayers.

You are not all alone in this journey, He is with you. Stop doing things in your own way, but start resting in God's Word and Presence, 'cause when you are with Him, we may be unworthy because of our past mistakes, but He made us worthy, the victory is ours. 🤍

It’s easy for us to say yes. But will we?

This is a reminder that the abundance and answered prayers we have now are just opportunities for us to be good stewards. When God wills to take these blessings back, may we be quick to surrender them just as Abraham did with Isaac.

Even though Abraham waited for a son for so long and it seems illogical for us humans to give Isaac up, when God asked Him to make his only son as a sacrifice, he just trusted God and obeyed His command.

So we’ve gotta love them the way He loves them.

We’ve gotta forgive them the way He does.

And for the days when it may feel hard or nearly impossible, remind yourself that the blood of Jesus doesn’t pick and choose.

To live a life that reflects Jesus, we’ve first gotta start with a heart that loves like His.

Sometimes, I can’t help but ask God, “Lord, is this true? Salvation You have for me seems too much. I don’t deserve it. Don’t You remember the time when I xyz? The time when I chose abc over You?”

The answers are:
- Yes, His salvation for me is true because He says so in His Word. (1 John 5:13)
- Yes, He remembers but He has also justified me. (Romans 5:9; Hebrews 10)

I am reminded of Romans 5:8 — But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

He died for me to save me. But He also rose again to save me. What a marvelous and matchless gift!

Friend, if this is something you aren’t thankful for yet because you don’t have it, I pray that today will be the day of your salvation.

Brother/sister, if this is something you aren’t thankful for, I pray that God will restore in you the joy of your salvation.

To God be all the glory for His grace, mercy, and salvation 🥹💓

Maybe working harder isn’t what you need. Maybe it is praying harder.
