exactly 30 years ago! 📸 1993.11.20 at and practicing hard! 🔥🔥🔥 Many of you know that I started my professional musician life as a cellist. The years when I was 9 to 11 years old, so many life-changing critical miraculous events took place in my life. Back in 1992, when my family was still living in , my parents sent a video tape of my cello playing to Dorothy DeLay, the preeminent legendary violin professor at Juilliard School in NY renowned for spotting young talents and fostering them. She watched and shared my video with her colleagues at Juilliard, and I was accepted and invited to join the mid-term on a full scholarship without even a live audition (an exceptional invitation). My parents packed their bags and we moved to in January of 1993. God was guiding us and with us 🙏 and I am beyond deeply grateful to my parents for all of their sacrifices leaving behind their own successful careers & lives in Korea to support my continuing musical studies in New York in a completely foreign country 🙏 what a blessing my parents are to me 💖
