As Black History Month draws to a close, we reflect on a month filled with celebration, learning, and honoring the contributions of black artists and history. From museum exhibits to panel discussions and history walks, we've immersed ourselves in the rich tapestry of black culture.

But the journey doesn't end here. Beyond February, there's still much more to explore. Visit the New Amsterdam Musical Association (NAMA), the oldest African-American musical organization in the country, or embark on a meaningful trip to The National Museum of African American History & Culture.

If you’re between the ages 13-18, you’re into art, and you live in New York, you’re going to love this!

In honor of Black History Month, the New York Public Library (), West Brighton branch, is hosting a teen's abstract painting session between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. to celebrate Alma Thomas. Alma Thomas was a teacher and artist who, in the mid 1960’s, created brightly colored and patterned paintings. 

She was the first black woman to have a solo exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art, presenting pieces like The Eclipse and Antares.

To kick the ball rolling, we’d like you all to step into a world of artistic brilliance at the as Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys unveil the extraordinary "Giants" exhibition! Featuring iconic names like Gordon Parks, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Kehinde Wiley, this showcase embodies the philosophy of "artists supporting artists." From February 10 through July 7, you can immerse yourself in the monumental works of Black diasporic artists, sparking profound conversations in society and celebrating the power of Blackness.

The theater will be showcasing photographer and gallerist Alex Harsley's captivating exhibition, that’s offering a visual journey through Black artists' creativity from the 1950s to the early 2000s.
