Last night in Austin, TX, a young activist and veteran was gunned down during a march in downtown Austin. Garrett Foster had attended every march since the protests began in late May with his partner Whitney. The family has set up a GoFundMe to cover funeral costs and other expenses from this tragic loss of life. We encourage everyone to give what they can and to take care of each other.

Kick Butt Cafe has been home to 100's of local and national acts over the years. With the economic impact of COVID-19, they are among the venues struggling to stay afloat. Kick Butt is more than a music venue, it's been the stomping grounds for countless local acts in Austin.

That's why we're excited to announce our Live-Stream event on July 18th to help raise money to help keep an important piece of the Austin Music Scene alive! We will be announcing the lineup later this week!💕

Dissent Records stands with protestors around the country fighting for black lives and against police brutality. Please get involved on a local level wherever you live. Ask your city to rethink their police force and budget. The Dead Coats will be live streaming tonight and 100% of donations will go to Black Lives Matter.
