🎬 | Forty years ago, Michael Jackson's film 'Thriller' premiered, a music video/short film that forever changed the music industry. This unforgettable audio-visual gem remains as relevant today as it was on its release day.

Did you know...

- This music video/short film became the best-selling VHS of all time and was accompanied by a short documentary about its making. Video stores were filled with people desperate to purchase a copy of this astonishing production, leading to protests when they sold out.

- Michael Jackson stated several times that this song was the hardest work he had done in his entire career. He cried for several nights and wanted to abandon it, initially intending it to have a lighter tone and be titled 'Starlight'.

- The dancers rehearsed for about a month alongside Michael Jackson, an unprecedented event for a music video at that time.

The Legendary Akunwafor Ezigbo Obiligbo was born on August 10, 1904 in Nteje, present day Oyi LGA, Anambra state.

Considered the father of Igbo highlife, He is one of the greatest exponents of Egwu Ekpili, a master of the native ubo aka.

Akunwafor was his traditional ozo chieftency title.

He started out as a farmer, but had a dream one night in 1934 when he was 30 years old which led to the beginning of his music career.

His songs are strongly recommended for anyone interested in Igbo traditional music.

Chief Obiligbo began performing as one of many Traditional musicians in Nteje and mostly at funerals, weddings and other Traditional ceremonies before his popularity grew exponentially driven by his powerful lyrics which consists of deep Igbo Proverbs and some drops of praise singing.

He left a huge body of work, mostly on the Gramophone Record format, but many of his greatest works have been preserved, especially those recorded on the pioneering Nigerphone Record label at Onitsha owned by the famous businessman of the early 20th century- C.T. Onyekwelu. This was the most advanced (if not the only) facility available in Igboland at the time i.e. the 30’s-50’s and was the forebear to subsequent recording studios/companies like Rogers All Stars and Tabansi Records.

Though he may not be a household name for the younger generation, his importance to the older generation cannot be over emphasized.

Former Nigerian Head of State, Major General Yakubu Gowon was a very huge fan of his, he once gave him a car gift of 504 Peugeot after watching him perform.

Chief Akunwafor Ezigbo Obiligbo is the grandfather of the present-day highlife music stars, Akunwafor and okpuozor popularly known as Umu Obiligbo.
Some of his hit tracks include Igba ndi eze , Eze Idigo, Egwu Gowon, ogwugwu akwa, Njenje Amaka Mma e.t.c.

May he continue to rest in power 🙏🏿

YOUNG MEN LET ME BE HONEST WITH YOU TODAY.

You see that girl you are dating now, she has a higher chance of making it in life faster than you.

This is why you shouldn't spend all your youthfulness building relationship with a woman.

The truth is she can easily walk out of that relationship and go ahead and marry an already made man, a man who has figured his life out, who has money and enough resources and on the strength of her marriage with the already made man she has made it in life.

Whereas, you as a man is own your own, nobody is coming to save you, nobody cares about you, people don't even love you until you have value.

You see why investing all your youthfulness with a woman can be very dangerous and unhealthy for your future.

Women has more leverage early in life than man, like this like this, she's already winning you, the world is more fair to her than you and this is why you need to focus more on your purpose than you are focusing on her.

If you fail to make it in life, you will suffer in her hand, she will finally dump you for another man who didn't fail to make it.

Forget all those romantic bullish*t she use to assure you " that she will be with you forever" its a lie, when jungle mature she will disappear.

The truth is most women are just managing your brokeness because they don't have a better option yet the moment a better option present itself she will abandon you and forget all your sacrifices and all her words, women knows nothing like loyalty.

This is why as a young man, you don't have to spend all your time focusing and chasing women up and down, women are big distraction to a man who is not purpose driven.

They will drain you and leave you.

Hustle for yourself, take your life more serious, read books, learn skills, develop and harness your masculine power, be more focus on becoming a better man, invest in your mind at the end of this is the only thing that will never leave you through thick and thin.

Be wise.

How OLIVER DE COQUE's most kept secret took him to an early grave as told by his son.
(April 14, 1947 - June 20, 2008. Age: 61)

HIS NAME, HIS MUSIC & HIS LIFESTYLE

Chief Dr. Oliver Sunday Akanite popularly known as Oliver De Coque was a Nigerian highlife musician and guitarist who has more than 50 albums to his credit and whose career lasted over 4 decades, making him one of the most popular highlife kings in Africa. Oliver and his music band group, 'Ogene Sound Super of Africa' blended modern highlife and traditional Igbo music.
The music star had 12 kids; 7 boys and 5 girls and they all enjoyed their father's presence. "It was awesome. My siblings and I didn't see him as a famous person. He was a normal, caring, jovial and loving dad to us," Darlington Akanite, one of his sons disclosed.
While growing up, Oliver was popularly called, 'The Game Master' because he was good at the game of Draft. Draft in Igbo language is 'Okwe.' So, People began to call him 'Oliver Di ka Okwe.' He then changed the name to sound more like a French name; that was how he came up with, 'Oliver De Coque.'

HIS SIGNATURE LOOK

He loved to buy clothes and spent a lot of money maintaining his looks. Infact, he spent #30,000 on his beard weekly and that amounted to #120,000 monthly. He visited his Salon twice a week and always said his beard was his Signature look. He said that if someone decided to keep a beard, it was right to maintain it.

HIS SICKNESS & HOW HE DIED

He fell ill at the end of 2007. He was diabetic and hypertensive. Most artistes don't like to disclose their health challenge and his son is of the opinion that if Oliver had told people about his health challenge, he would have gotten help quickly. "He was ill for three months. He then recovered in February 2008 and began to go for shows. He died on June 20 but he had planned to travel to the U.S on July 2 for checkup," Darlington added. He went further to tell the press that it was as if his father knew he was going to die because on the day he died, he decided to stay indoors. "And he told me to stay by his side." "That morning after he had his brekfast, he began to feel ill and cancelled his appointments for the day. I didn't know it was a serious matter; all I could do was to console him. I went to the bathroom to take a shower and then told him that I wanted to visit a few friends but he begged me not to leave his side and I became upset. I thought he was just depriving me of having fun. I grudgingly stayed back."
While Darlington stayed with him, he began to tell him how he started his career. As he was telling the story, he complained of not breathing well. Oliver then decided that he should be taken to the hospital. On their way to the hospital, he told the driver to increase the air-condition that he was feeling hot. His son became scared when he started to shout, "Wheelbarrow! Wheelbarrow! Darlington, please bring a Wheelbarrow." It was after his death, Darlington who wondered what was happening realised that the highlife maestro was referring to a WheelChair not actually a Wheelbarrow.
"I think he was becoming paralysed and unconscious. He was rushed to the emergency ward when we got to the hospital. And throughout his time in the hospital, he kept begging me to save him but there was nothing I could have done," the Son said.
He held Darlington's hand close to his side as he took his last breathe. His son closed his eyes and kissed him on the forehead. "I was so confused about all that happened."

LESSON

His son believes that more than 200 Igbo people would have laid their lives down for him if he had made his health condition public.
He's gone leaving behind a vacuum but he's taught the entire family a lesson that whenever one is facing a challenge, one shouldn't keep quiet about it. "I want people to learn from his death."

WELCOME TO THE 21ST CENTURY:

Where s*x is free & love is costly.
Where loosing a phone is more painful than losing your sense of humor.
Where loosing virginity is less painful than losing morals.
Where modernization means nudity.
Where money is worthy more than honest and true love.
Where if you don't drink/smoke you are old fashioned & out classed.
Where boys and girls flirt & pass bad comments on others.
Where cheating on your partner is easy as cutting margarine with hot knife just because you are sharp & smart.
Where temples are turned into dating points.
Where worshipping God is difficult than committing sin.
Where lies turned into realities.
Where ladies fear pregnancy than H.I.V.
Where pizza delivery is faster than emergency response.
Where people fear thieves, robbers, terrorists than they fear God.
Where outlook & clothes decide the value of a person.
Where money is more important than family & friends.
Where children are ready to leave their families, for their love.
Where guys are scared of marriage, but love to have s*x.
Where love is a game.
Where the one who play it with mind always gets happiness & whoever plays with heart always gets hurt...

SAD BUT THIS IS THE Reality.

3. Luke
Was hanged in Greece as a result of his tremendous Preaching to the lost.

4. John
Faced martyrdom when he was boiled in huge Basin of boiling oil during a wave of persecution In Rome. However, he was miraculously delivered From death.
John was then sentenced to the mines on the prison Island of Patmos. He wrote his prophetic Book of Revelation on Patmos . The apostle John was later freed and returned to serve As Bishop of Edessa in modern Turkey . He died as an old man, the only apostle to die peacefully

5. Peter
He was crucified upside down on an x-shaped cross.
According to church tradition it was because he told his tormentors that he felt unworthy to die In the same way that Jesus Christ had died.

6. James
The leader of the church in Jerusalem , was thrown over a hundred feet down from the southeast pinnacle of the Temple when he refused to deny his faith in Christ. When they discovered that he survived the fall, his
enemies beat James to death with a fuller's club.
* This was the same pinnacle where Satan had taken Jesus during the Temptation.

7. James the Son of Zebedee,
was a fisherman by trade when Jesus Called him to a lifetime of ministry. As a strong leader of the church, James was beheaded at Jerusalem. The Roman officer who guarded James watched amazed as James defended his faith at his trial. Later, the officer Walked beside James to the place of ex*****on. Overcome by conviction, he declared his new faith to the judge and Knelt beside James to accept beheading as a Christian.

9. Andrew
Was crucified on an x-shaped cross in Patras, Greece. After being whipped severely by seven soldiers they tied his body to the cross with cords to prolong his agony. His followers reported that, when he was led toward the cross, Andrew saluted it in these words: 'I have long desired and expected this happy hour. The cross has been consecrated by the body of Christ hanging on it.' He continued to preach to his tormentors For two days until he expired.

10. Thomas
Was stabbed with a spear in India during one of his missionary trips to establish the church in the Sub-continent.

11. Jude
Was killed with arrows when he refused to deny his faith in Christ.

12. Matthias
The apostle chosen to replace the traitor Judas Iscariot, was stoned and then beheaded.

13. Paul
Was tortured and then beheaded by the evil Emperor Nero at Rome in A.D. 67. Paul endured a lengthy imprisonment, which allowed him to write his many
epistles to the churches he had formed throughout the Roman Empire. These letters, which taught many of the foundational Doctrines of Christianity, form a large portion of the New Testament.

Perhaps this is a reminder to us that our sufferings here are indeed minor compared to the intense persecution and cold cruelty faced by the apostles and disciples during their times For the sake of the Faith. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: But he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Pass on to encourage other Christians
Why Do we feel sleepy in Prayer,
But stay awake through a 3 hour movie?
Why are we so bored when we look at the HOLY BOOK,
But find it easy to read other books?
Why is it so easy to ignore a msg about God,
Yet we forward the nasty ones?
Why are Prayers getting smaller,
But bars and clubs are expanding
Why is it so easy to worship a celebrity,
But very difficult to engage with God?
Think about it, are you going to forward this?
Are you going to ignore it, cause you think you will get laughed at?
Forward this to all your friends.
80% of you won't forward this.
God said: If you deny me in front of your friends, I will deny you on the day of judgment:

When one door closes, God opens two: If God has opened doors for you, send this message to everyone on your contact list.

Make this message your contribution to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, be blessed.

An IGBO man walks into a bank in LAGOS and asks for the loan officer. He tells the loan officer that he is going to DUBAI on business for four weeks and needs to borrow #5,000.

The bank officer tells him that the bank will need some form of security for the loan, so the IGBO man hands over the keys to a brand new Mercedes Benz S class 500 parked on the street in front of the bank. He produces the log book and everything checks out. The loan officer agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan.

The bank's president and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at the IGBO man for using
a #30 Million Mercedes Benz as collateral against a #5,000 loan. An employee of the bank then drives the Mercedes Benz into the bank's underground garage and parks it there.

Four weeks later, the IGBO man returns, repays the #5,000 and the interest, which comes to #150.41. The loan officer says, 'Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely but we are a little puzzled.

While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multi millionaire. What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow ' #5,000'.
The IGBO man replies: Where else in
LAGOS can I park my car for four weeks for only #150.41 and expect it to be there when I return

“Esther Olaedo Iyizoba, known by her stage name Estar, and her cousin Uche Ozoigbo, also known as Gucheano, formed the musical group Resonance in 2006. Their debut album “Chinwe Ike,” released in 2007, became a cultural phenomenon, particularly the track “Lee Lee,” which resonated deeply with many listeners. The album’s success was bolstered by the production prowess of Dekumzy, who was a prominent figure in the Nigerian music scene at the time. The group’s music was not just entertainment; it was a source of inspiration and spiritual upliftment for many, as they combined gospel themes with contemporary sounds, creating a unique blend that captivated the hearts of their audience.

However, the bright flame that was Resonance dimmed over time, leaving fans puzzled and longing for more. Despite the lack of clarity on what led to the group’s dissolution, it was confirmed that they would no longer record or perform together. Gucheano hinted at a solo career, though little was heard from him thereafter. Estar, on the other hand, continued her musical journey, releasing a song titled “Ije Love” in 2014 and an album “Good love and Music” in 2017. She remains active in the music scene, sharing her melodies with those who remember Resonance’s legacy. Meanwhile, Dekumzy continues to make his mark as a producer, contributing to soundtracks for movies on platforms like iroko TV. The story of Resonance is a testament to the transient nature of fame and the enduring impact of music that touches the soul”.

Where is she now??

Chibuzor Oji, widely recognized by his stage name Faze, is a prominent figure in the Nigerian music scene and beyond. Born in 1977 in Festac Town, Lagos, Faze is the fourth of nine talented siblings, all known for their vocal prowess honed through family prayer sessions. His educational journey took him from Nazareth Primary School to Festac Grammar School, and eventually to Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. Faze’s musical odyssey began in earnest with the Plantashun Boiz, a group he formed alongside BlackFace Naija and 2face Idibia. The trio enjoyed considerable success before disbanding in 2004, prompting Faze to embark on a solo career that would see him release hit albums like “Faze Alone,” “Independent,” and “Originality,” with the latter achieving platinum status in its first month.

Faze’s career is not just limited to music; he made his acting debut in the critically acclaimed Nigerian movie “Alero’s Symphony,” where he played the lead male role and provided the soundtrack, earning him an Africa Movie Academy Award for Achievement in Soundtrack in 2012. Despite the split of Plantashun Boiz, Faze continued to resonate with fans across Africa, particularly with tracks like “A Letter to My Brother,” which was interpreted as a response to 2face Idibia’s “As You See Me So.” His contributions to music have been further enriched by collaborations with international artists like Wyclef Jean, Akon, and Beenie Man. Faze’s personal life remains relatively private, though it is known that he lost his twin sister, Ifeyinwa Asia, just days before their shared birthday. As he continues to release songs, Faze’s legacy as a musician, actor, and a respected figure in the African entertainment industry endures.

Stop Making Yourself Poor

Stop saying you don't have enough, that you don't get enough, or that you earn too little. If you keep declaring poverty, poverty is what you're going to get. Break the habit of playing the victim. You'll never improve like this.

The first thing you need to change is your **self-concept**.

You are not poor; you are just temporarily broke. The money will come; you will get it. But first, you must adopt a new state of mind. Remember that your financial status is a reflection of your mental state. If you see money, wealth, opportunities, and progress in your mind, soon that will be reflected in your pockets.

The second thing to improve is your **evaluation**.

Don't settle for small things; aim for big goals. Learn to manage what you have. Don't spend recklessly; define your priorities well.

The third thing to improve is your **language**.

Change your words. Some people talk all day about illnesses or not having enough. When asked how they are doing, they respond reluctantly with phrases like "Here, sort of," "Getting by," "Barely making it," or "You don't earn much, but you enjoy." These expressions plant seeds of more need. Change your words and move to the wealth lane. When asked how you are, reply with attitude: "Great!" "Making progress!" "Feeling positive!" Your words create a new vibration.

You are blessed.

SKY B SHOULD NOT GET INTO MUSIC AGAIN

Lucky Udu did great by finding Sky B . All Sky B needs now is definitely support to get a good place , small business and keep life going .

The industry is no longer what it used to be . If he realizes small money and jumps into music again , he might end up losing it all . The competition now is too much , the funds needed to go viral these days is way too big . The consistency too , he won’t be able to keep up .

He is getting so much love now and it is because people are excited . If he goes ahead to drop music many might not care .

Welcome Back Sky B , with the support you are receiving , get a good place and a small business.

You will forever be a legend . You did your thing . You trended in the whole of Africa even when there was no media . That was REAL INFLUENCE.
The industry has CHANGED .

Wahala ‼️😱 Sometimes I wish my nudes could leak so that these girls see how BIG my Gbola is and how Sexy I am “ 23 years JoeBoy begs God for his nudes to leak

JoeBoy thinks he is heavily endowed down there and thinks some girls might never have the opportunity to see or taste it so he wishes his nudes leaks sometimes .

Have you now seen most of these artistes leak their tapes intentionally? Either to go viral or to just make the world talk ?

Can someone help him leak it please ? Our girls are crying that they need it .
