Content Warning: Domestic Abuse
When I created this label I set out to do something positive to help struggling artists navigate a very difficult and trying industry, in hopes to help them improve and boost their music career with the tools and services we provide. We also try to foster an inclusive and empowering culture that brings others up, and strengthens a community of support and good vibes, never bringing others down or keeping them from succeeding.
This makes it extra disheartening and disappointing when things like this occur because we as a label have always strived to help struggling artists; and spent not only many thousands of dollars, but also thousands of hours working with local artists to stay relevant in an incredibly exclusive and competitive industry that seems bent on keeping artists from getting ahead.
I have witnessed abuse all around me throughout my childhood, and have been a victim of it myself.
Due to this, I have tried to continuously support women (who are much more likely to be victims of DA) not only in this industry, but in all aspects of my life, because I know personally the damage it does to families, children, and spouses alike. Whether it be physical abuse, or any other sort of abuse, NONE of it is ever acceptable.
That being said, one of our artists was recently involved in multiple domestic abuse incidents, and not only has admitted it plainly, but there is substantial evidence to prove it.
Due to this behavior we have terminated our contract and cut all ties with the artist known as Fenris Floral.
We absolutely do not tolerate abusive behavior in any way, shape, or form.
Nobody should feel unsafe around one of our artists or associates, and if you do, please speak up so it can be investigated and dealt with immediately.
We have already donated all of the proceeds from working with this artist and more, as we recently had a female-fronted bands only show where we donated over $250 in tickets to different local women's support groups due to this very issue, and we will continue to do so going forward.
