INGRATE NAIJA MUSIC STARS (ZLATAN & MORE)

Working as a manager is not an easy task in this music industry. I DJ Rufflemon has faced a lot of challenges in the industry. The first artist I picked up in the street of Lagos is JUNYNHO and it took me a lot of time, challenges to put him out there. Along the line Junynho introduced me to a little boy called Dablixx and I met with Dablixx and started taking necessary steps to promote their music. I could remember calling my friend K Remedy for help, he is working with Noun Fm in Lagos Island. I had to beg K Remedy to help my artist which he did, he started by giving us rotation on Radio, along the line I met a boss called Sule Elams, he's so good to me he also gave my artist masive rotation on Radio station and I could remember a time that I meet an artist called Jasto and he told me about an artist called Zlanta, as at that time Zlanta was nobody in the music industry and somebody called me on phone one Saturday morning, he introduced himself as Ayah Patrick. He is a manager to an artist, he sought to see me but I was busy and asked that we meet on Monday morning at OJZ national stadium and we met on Monday at noon. During that time, I was living with General, me and Tradmac that I featured in my song Drama, Ayah Patrick told me that he has two artist that he wants to promote and we concluded. He later booked an another appointment to meet at ShopRite Ikeja and he came with the two artists one of them is Zlanta, I can't recall the other boy's name. Zlanta called me boss Rufflemon I really need your help I want my music to trend like Mayorkun song "Ori Iya mi Eleko" that song was the trending song at that time. So I told him not to worry that his music will trend more than that of Mayorkun. We drew a plan on how to promote the Zlanta music, we list OAP and the Radio station we will work with, I can remember vividly that Zlanta has a song with Reminisce but they haven't release the song till now. The most annoying moment I experienced was when Ayah Patrick (Zlanta Manager) went to Lekki to register their music on digital platform, when we were coming back home "Ayah Patrick said Rufflemon this 300naira go fit carry you reach house?" I just replied that Patrick don't worry I am okay". When I got home Ayah Patrick called me the next day and said when are we going to the radio station? I replied him by saying when you are ready call me and I don't want what happened last time to repeat itself. Zlanta and his manager moved on with the plan of the promotion that I lied down. Some artists will promise you Heaven and Earth just because they want to get something from you, I will take you to Euro, America and I will take you tour round the world. All those empty promises were made because they want their songs to be an anthem on people's lips, at the end they will ignore you after all they have gotten what they want. That's the hitch attached to working behind the scene in Nigeria music industry. I could recall when I dropped sample song Pose featuring Junynho, people started calling me, threatening me because of the song, that I will be jailed if I didn't withdraw the song from the radio station, but I keep on pushing and never relent.
