Long time, no post! I figured it’s time I jump on here and give a quick little update about Timber + Sea Co.

I’m no longer taking on event clients & will only be taking branding clients by request. As much as I LOVE what I do, I simply cannot continue to stretch myself in 100 different directions. Instead, I’ve been working on putting my whole focus on my career, my family and my health.

It has been a stressful and eventful past few months, but it’s given me time to reflect and pray about my path. It’s hard not to feel that I failed, but I’ve come to the realization that I expect too much of myself and have a lot of preconceived notions in my mind.

I appreciate your support to no end, and hope that you’ll continue to support me in this decision. I’m working on wrapping up my current projects & will keep this page to share any creative projects that may come my way! Thank you so much to this amazing community 💖

Wedding planning can be STRESSFUL.

There’s no doubt about it! It’s also expensive. I had the naive notion that I could have my dream wedding for $5K and quickly realized that was not going to happen. Of course there are ways to cut & save on a wedding budget, but you have to be willing to sacrifice.

Why sacrifice when you can have the ceremony of your dreams? Grab your fiancé, your officiant & photographer and run to your favorite destination. You can choose anywhere in the world without worrying about who to invite & who not to.

You can always celebrate with your friends & family later, but take the time to enjoy an intimate and stress-free moment with each other. So if you’re finding yourself crying over tablescapes and welcome signs, consider forgoing the traditional wedding and getting eloped instead! ⛰

I cannot get over the color story for this brand design 🤩

I truly believe that certain colors and palettes have the ability to move actions into motion, spark emotions and take your goals to the next level.

When it came to the logo for her new nail studio (coming to Crescent City soon!), Wendy wanted to pay homage to her hometown roots & those who gave her the push to follow her passions.

Following her inspiration, we went with the coastal color palette, anchor design and modern, Cali-cool typography. ☀️

So thankful to be working on this project with such an amazing & talented woman!

Make sure you’re putting your mission statement first, and continuously pushing out content and products that you’re proud of.

Totally stumped on what to post next on IG? Don’t post something just for the sake of it. Take your time to think on a concept, strategize and start creating!

Moodboards will forever be my favorite thing about branding.

Even when I was younger, I was cutting up fashion magazines and glueing the pieces onto paper or taping them on my bedroom walls. I would ferociously reorganize my Pinterest boards by theme, idea, color scheme or category (still do).

There’s just something about seeing a concept start with something so simple as a collage of inspiration, turn into something so unique and special. ✨

Overwhelmed with wedding planning?

It’s a LOT, but it doesn’t have to be stressful. Keeping it simple can be easier said than done, especially when it comes to bridal events. However, it IS possible! (With my help of course 😉)

Focus on the special details that represent you and your partner best. Are you avid travelers? ✈️Love all things Disney? 🏰More if the barbecue and chill type? 🍔Your events are an extension of your relationship, a way to celebrate what makes you two so unique together.

Narrowing down one theme or element you know you want to include is key. From there, trimming up the budget, guest list, food, activities, etc. is so much smoother. You don’t have to go crazy on ideas and decor to make it impactful, sometimes simplicity is everything. ✨

Let’s talk about brand vision:

Yes, your brand should have a mission or vision statement but how can you build a strategy off of it? This is your baby, your creativity and values all wrapped up in your business. You need to do everything you can to help it grow and thrive.

You can’t just throw your brand to the wind and hope for the best. You need to take your vision (why you do what you do & how you want to do it) and build on it. Who are you speaking to? What are your core topics/buckets/products? Why do you love what you do?

Answering these questions will help you get a better understanding of the steps to take when it comes to marketing your business. It will also help your clients or customers feel more connected with your brand and more willing to take the next step. ✨

When re-branding, I knew that I wanted to elevate my color palette and choose a style that rings true to me. Timber + Sea Co. comes from my childhood growing up on the Northern California coast - where the Redwoods meet the sea🌲🌊

This past year has made me rethink (and rethink and rethink) my goals and passions in the best way possible. Instead of focusing on a business that brings me stress creatively, I’m embracing my talents and skills in marketing, styling and design. So while Timber + Sea Co. will no longer serve as a printables/digital art outlet, it will move into a more creative space both digitally and in the real world (YAY)!

I can’t wait to share what I have in store and to start connecting with other local brands & individuals! Stay tuned! 🤩💖
