Bimbo was the first to raise her hand in question and answer session during the annual conference organised by the church for both singles and married; The programme comes up every December and lasts for three days.
On the first day, singles and married have separate sessions and it's the same on the second day though males and females usually have separate sessions. The third day is the grand finale where both married and singles assemble basically for questions and answers.
It was on the last day, after the guest minister had taught for more than an hour that opportunity was given to every participant to feel free and ask their questions.
Amazement was noticeable and feelable in the gathering and it was as if every participant was ready to get lasting solution and valid response to all their questions without coming the next year to ask such questions after another 12months of trial and error.
All participants were shocked on the last day of the programme as men and women, single and married were not concerned about their spiritual and leadership status in church, but everyone exposed his/herself in order to be helped.
It was the way the first question was handled that gave rise to explicit information and inquisitiveness in the participants. Almost every participant cried that day because many mysteries were unleashed and that was seen to be the sole manifestation of the holy Ghost because far beyond mere teaching, there was at a glance, the effectively potent exhortation and gift of wisdom in the guest speaker and contributors because even the guest minister and his wife had to control their emotion notwithstanding,the Lord dealt with them such that they almost cried their eyes out.
Bimbo, was the coordinator of the adult choir and despite being the second daughter of the General overseer, she has been relieved of that position twice because of some attitudes that are uncalled for and uncondoned.
Truth be told,aside the fact that she's ill mannered and needed adjustments, Bimbo is an angel in human skin; She's so elegant and immaculate, a very neat lady with high intelligent quotient. When Bimbo speaks, everyone looks around to compare her age with such depth of wisdom.
But this particular programme revealed a lot about Bimbo and that marked the beginning of a turn around in her life.
The guest speaker hasn't stepped down from the pulpit when Bimbo raised her hand, though the next item on the agenda was question and answer.
Immediately she raised her hand, the minister had to pause as he gently put his bible and notepad together. Although he had been staying at the general overseer's lodge but that was the first time he was seeing Bimbo because she was living in a neighbouring town; her work wouldn't allow her stay with her parent due to distance. Even for that weekend of the annual conference, she decided to stay in her lodge and not go home to her parents because she doesn't want to be at home especially when visitors are around; she obviously has zero tolerance for strangers.
As her hand was noticed, the guest minister asked, "yes sister, what do you have to say?" without standing, Bimbo waved her hand and replied "I have a question". Immediately she said that the guest minister replied " ok, don't worry sister, the moderator will come over to take our questions as I need to step down and take some water. Thanks "
There were incessant chattering and indecorum at the young men's corner. It was as if they were planning a protest and that act compelled the attention of the elders as they all gazed at the young men to figure out what was wrong.
Nobody understood the reason for the noise but in a very soft and compelling tone was the voice of a guy who was talking to his colleagues in a funny but empathic manner in regards to the impatient attitude of Bimbo. He softly said "eeehhhssh! Silent please, let our boss lady ask question, if I hear pim!..." Other boys bursted into laughter but the married people especially the elders were wondering why almost all the young men exhibited such a disapproving attitude towards their G.O's daughter.
One of the deaconate couldn't hold it as he asked a colleague close by "is anything wrong with what the lady just said?" The other man responded, "I can't see any, but I think those boys see more than we see in this matter, just keep calm and let sleeping dog lie" The deaconate folded his arm and returned his neck like a snail whose antenna were beaten!
The boys comported themselves, no noise, no chattering. Then the moderator came up as he asked everyone with questions to raise hand for numbering.
Sluggishly and with a sense of insecurity, Bimbo was the first to raise her hand, she looked around the boys' corner like a armed robber on an operation in a new environment. Even though she's a courageous and fearless lady and this allowed her to forget about those boys and then raised her hand above her head but this time she hissed as she shifted her gaze from the boy's corner to the front but it was hard for anyone to hear her hiss except those who had their gaze on her rounded pinkish lips.
She was given number one and she began to speak. Thank God her parents were not on seat that day, maybe they would have cried out of the church because it's certain that they would be so sorry and disappointed in their daughter.
There was nothing wrong with her questions as she was very sincere in her inquiry. Assuming the guest minister was the one who answered her questions without throwing it open to the congregation, definitely there wouldn't have been any uproar or cause for alarm.
But the two guys that reacted to her questions before the minister rounded it up were so blunt and direct; they answered by outlining her attitudes and several occurrences and scenarios that better explained their points from their interaction and experiences with her; they left no stone unturned!.
Bimbo's confidence was aborted that day and she was humbled. Throughout the programmes she couldn't raise her head from the pew, she was down casted like a monkey with a bag of banana yet couldn't reach out to it after several attempts because its waist was tied - Though deep within her, holy spirit took over that scenario to make her a transformed person.
The first guy that responded to her question was Titus, a tall, dark intelligent guy with an awesome skill on saxophone. He was in a relationship with Bimbo for six months before trailer separated them... He spoke without mincing words and he didn't even hide in his words, the fact that he was engaged to her in time past and that she's his ex.
Bimbo's question that caused catastrophe was asked with her intelligent presentation and detailed inquiry that even after her question, all participants clapped for her except the boys.
