Moved papa into his new home today 💙🥰

1 year he's been in hospital and now he starts his new journey of settling into his new home.

There will be some distressing times ahead for him as he's just travelled across the country and is in a new environment with new people so there's bound to be a few ups amd downs this next few weeks but hopefully soon enough he will be all settled in and happy in his new home and it seems like a lovely home with lovely staff so I think he will fit in just fine and he's not too far away from me so I get to help and support him through all of it 🥰💙

We have a discharge date!! 👏👏👏

I am not going to say when due to safely reasons but in the near future papa will be moving into his new home , 45 mins away from me, which is alot better than 2 hours away as I've had to travel back and forth across the country to support him for the last 12 months as he has absolutely no one else .

This valentines day ( 14th February ) will be 1 year to the day that my dad was brutally attacked and left serverly Brain damaged, with very little quality of life.

The doctors has declared him with no mental capacity and recently stated he will have no nore rehabilitated as he is so cognitively inpaired and will be in a nursing care home.

At least he will be alot closer to me and I can try and help him and support him more 🥰💙

The move and transition from hospital to a new place is going to be extremely confusing and distressing for him and it may take him a while to settle in so we have some hard times ahead but hopefully we can also have some amazing times to come after that and memories we can make even if he does forgets everything after 5 mins ( that's why I document it , too show him).
