One thing I learnt in life was that listen to everyone but make your own decision. Sometimes we are confused and need some mentor in life, not to tell us what to do but to give us that little kick or a little push to move forward. I am happy that for me my parents did their best to make me be successful. I also remember a friend of mine, who 10 years ago just casually said ‘Ankit, why don’t you go to Germany. There is no tuition fee.’ It planted a seed of thought in me and I worked hard to make it a reality.

I am happy to help you with taking your step towards moving abroad.

The German Government submitted to the Bundestag, plans to reform the program for granting German Citizenship. If the project is approved, then according to the new laws, German Citizenship can be obtained faster, in just THREE YEARS. However, language requirements will be increased.

The coalition plans to raise the required level of German language skills to the C1 level. This is the level usually required to study at a German University. Representatives of the coalition emphasize that if the person speaks German at the C1 level, then he demonstrates that he is really intersted in life in Germany and plans to stay in the country.

Draft Law Translated :
2. c) Paragraph 3 is worded as follows:
“(3) The period of residence pursuant to subsection (1) sentence 1 may be shortened to up to three years if the foreigner has
1. provides evidence of special integration achievements, in particular particularly good academic, vocational or professional achievements or civic engagement,
2. is able to support himself/herself and his/her dependent family members without recourse to public funds, and
3. meets the requirements of a language examination at level C 1 of the Common Reference Framework for Languages.”

With the Helmut-Schmidt-Programme, the DAAD strives to contribute to promoting good governance and civil society structures in developing and emerging countries. The Programme offers future leaders master’s courses in disciplines that are of special relevance for the social, political, and economic development

Who can apply?
👉Graduates (bachelor or equivalent) with a well-qualified first university degree and above-average grades (upper third) in Social and Political Sciences, Law, Economics, Public Policy and Administration.
👉Who have already gained practical experience relevant for the programme (professional experience, internships, political/social commitment)

What can be funded?
✅DAAD scholarship holders are exempt from paying tuition fees!
✅The scholarship holders will receive scholarships of (currently) € 934 (or ₹83,888) PER MONTH for master’s courses at German higher education institutions
✅Health insurance cover in Germany
✅Appropriate travel allowances for travel between Germany and the respective developing and emerging countries
