Enel Group starts construction of project in
Enel Green Power North America has started construction of the #250 MW #25 Mile Creek wind project in Ellis County, Okla., the company’s 12th wind farm in the state.
With this new construction, Enel Green Power’s Oklahoma wind portfolio now exceeds $ #3 billion in investment. The company now has over #2.5 GW of new wind and solar capacity under construction across the United States, including the #140 MW Rockhaven wind farm in Oklahoma.

Japanese Bank partners with European Investment Bank (EIB) for investments in offshore
Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) has partnered with the European Investment Bank (EIB) to further expand cooperation on global investments including in the .
It has been informed that the cooperation includes identifying co-financing projects contributing to carbon neutrality including subsea interconnectors, offshore wind plans, battery storage facilities and technology development.

Lightsource bp and Xcel Energy unveils farm in Pueblo
Xcel Energy and Lightsource bp today announced the development of a new solar farm in Pueblo, Colorado.
The project is Lightsource bp’s second in the city with power sales to Xcel, representing a cumulative half billion-dollar private investment in Colorado’s infrastructure.

Glennmont Partners has announced the completion of its latest issuance of a Green ABS in the Spanish solar market.The underlying asset is a Spanish solar photovoltaic plant with a total installed capacity of located in the Caceres region.
The transaction consists of € #28.8m of Class A asset-backed floating rate notes and € #7.3m Class B of asset-backed floating rate and variable return notes.

The renewable energy pioneer TotalEnergies has announced that its gross installed renewable power generation capacity has risen to .

Brazil’s electric power regulator Aneel has approved commercial operations of the V plant.

Total Eren has announced the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding ( ) with the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the NationalWealth Fund “Samruk-Kazyna”, and the National Company “KazMunaiGas”.
According to the MoU, the parties will closely work on the development, financing, construction and operation of hybrid power plants deploying #1 GW wind energy combined with #500 MW- #1 GWh of energy storage system to be located in central Kazakhstan.

's SUN Energy to buy farm from Risen Energy Co., Ltd.
SUN Energy has signed a binding agreement, subject to conditions, to acquire #100% of the assets of the #132 MWdc / #100 MWac Merredin Solar Farm (Merredin) from Risen Energy, a leader in global solar technology.
Merredin is the largest operating solar farm in Western Australia with a total of #354,452 panels spread over #460 hectares and expected annual renewable power generation of #274 GWh. This is enough green energy to power approximately #42,000 homes in Western Australia.
“The Australian market is key for us, given the long-term potential for renewable energy and its geographical proximity. The acquisition supports our strategy to become one of the leading renewable energy companies in the region.” says Philip Lee, Chief Executive Officer of SUN Energy.

Nordex USA, Inc. Group receives order for #101 MW project from Ireland
The Nordex Group has received an order from Ireland for #22 turbines of the Delta4000 series with a total of #101 MW.
Fifteen N149/4.X turbines and a further seven N149/5.X machines are to be supplied for the “Ardderroo” wind farm. The order also includes a Premium Service contract for the turbines for #20 years.
In “Ardderroo”, Nordex turbines of the #5 MW class are being used in Ireland for the first time with the N149/5.X turbines.

Azure Power receives LOA for , hybrid power project in
Azure Power announced that it has received the letter of award ( ) for its first #150 MW ISTS connected wind–solar hybrid power project with Solar Energy Corporation of India ( ) to supply power for #25 years at a fixed tariff of INR #2.35 (~US #3.2 cents) per kWh.
The project is part of the #1,200 MW ISTS Hybrid Tranche – IV tender from SECI and will entail setting up of #100 MW of solar and #50 MW of wind capacity within a period of #18 months from the signing of Power Purchase Agreement ( ).

Repsol and the MADBiT District Association have entered into a partnership to create the largest Spanish platform.

Ørsted and BASF sign #25-year offshore wind PPA in
BASF and Ørsted have concluded a #25-year fixed-price corporate power purchase agreement ( ), under which BASF will offtake the output of #186 megawatts from Ørsted’s planned Borkum Riffgrund #3 Offshore Wind Farm in the German North Sea.
The offshore wind farm will have a total installed capacity of #900 megawatts and go into full commercial operation in 2025.
“This supply agreement with Ørsted is another important step in securing additional renewable energy for BASF,” says Dr. Martin Brudermüller, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE.

needs more investment to achieve offshore capacity goal

South Korea requires more aggressive investment in renewable energy sector in order to achieve its offshore wind capacity goal by #2030, a latest report has indicated.

“South Korea looks set to struggle to meet its ambitious renewable energy target of of installed offshore wind capacity by #2030 without significant investment and buy-in from heavy industry leaders,” the report read, adding that Korea must bank on the development of floating offshore technology.

"(Korea) must boost investment in power grid infrastructure by around #50 percent over the next #10 years in order to achieve sustainability in line with the net-zero gas emission goal,” Bum-Choong (Bob) Kim, PhD, partner at Ernst & Young Han Young, commented.
