My father died suddenly. It happened two weeks ago. I found the message he sent me when I presented my first book to him. He was so proud to hold the first My Magic Books publication in his hands. I’m immensely sad he will not get to hold my next book. And how do you live without a Dad? I have no idea. It feels odd. He left this world way too soon. May your soul rest in peace, Daddy.

Today the SECOND EDITION of MISTER WOBBLY TOOTH and MENEERTJE WIEBELTAND has been delivered. A little under two ago, my baby girl was still in my belly when the first edition arrived. Now, after months of hard work and many happy customers, I am clapping eyes on another beautiful batch. It will be a great work-out, heaving all these boxes up two flights of stairs, and an even bigger challenge selling them all. Cheers to hunderds more happy little readers, and a heartfelt thank-you to all of you who’ve contributed to me being able to run a second print (i.e. you who’s bought my precious book). May Mister Wobbly Tooth continue to live in people’s hearts for many more years to come!

We are about to wave goodbye to 2023, just as these two are waving happily at the Moon. This wondrous illustration belongs to The Night The Moon Was Sad (Toen de Maan verdrietig was, in Dutch). I’m hoping to be publishing this book in 2024. First things first, though: a beautiful second edition of Mister Wobbly Tooth (Meneertje Wiebeltand, in Dutch). For now, a Very Happy, Healthy, Giggly, Lovely and Safe 2024 for all who walks (or swims, flies or crawls) the planet.
