While some social media managers would say it’s alright to not post on the weekend, reason being:
1. They do not want to work on the weekends for your brand unless specified
2. Your target audience remains unchanged/irrelevant to trends over the weekend

Other than these two occasions, weekends are generally a great time to catch your audiences relaxed (quite like we did just now 🫣). If you’re a brand or a business person that posts only on the weekdays, here are some easy ways you could keep up the engagement during that crucial “relaxed audience attention span” on weekends. These might not take up a lot of your time and will prepare you and your account better to bring the engagement leading up to the week ahead.

More about the ideas:
1. Follow 3 suitable accounts that have similar audience to yours, that operates in the similar niche as yours or has a social media presence you aspire to have. This puts you in the right batch of interaction and related account network thus allowing the algorithm to show more of your content on explore page, ultimately leading to newer audience exposure and right set of target audiences as well.

2. Weekend stories with action or response buttons are a great way to engage with audiences, people tend to allow more leisure time specially in social media when relaxing these days (unfortunately) but that could also mean a gateway to their personal relaxed attention. The bottom line of the whole strategy.

3. Saving a few reels (3 is average) allows you to browse a little batch rather than pointless scrolling. You believe having 15 ideas will keep you more prepared but having 3 ideas that are great for your own niche or purpose would be even better and efficiently allowing yourself a set amount of time to do so (15 mins) should be enough. Don’t focus too much on trends and audios, start with a goal of 15 mins-3 reel ideas. That should eventually build up the momentum. You will also understand trends better with this practice and in no time become smooth at this game.

Hope this was helpful x
