Crossover group Final Assault pays homage to Jon Zazula, the godfather of thrash metal.

Final Assault's latest release 'ZAZULA EP' is out now.
The digital EP released through Moshforce Records is a tribute to Jonathan 'Jonny Z' Zazula, who founded Megaforce Records with his wife Marsha, who passed away in 2022 from a rare neurological disease (CIDP). Megaforce Records was founded in 1982 and the label's first release in 1983 was Metallica's debut 'Kill 'Em All'.

'ZAZULA EP' is a three-song Final Assault tribute to the godfather of thrash metal, originally released by Megaforce Records, and was mixed and mastered by Kalle Johansson of OKJ Music Productions.

The first song of the ’ZAZULA EP’ is Metallica's 'The Four Horsemen' and the other two are Stormtroopers of Death's (S.O.D.) 'Freddy Krueger' and 'United Forces'. The arrangement of 'The Four Horsemen' is closer to the song's original composer Dave Mustaine's vision, as heard in 'The Mechanix', and the final solo in the track 'United Forces' is played by Ville Valavuo (Foreseen, Speedtrap, Kohti Tuhoa).

Crossover band Final Assault continues to celebrate the 10th anniversary of ‘Dead by Dawn’ and releases a live album titled ‘Undead by Dawn’.

Final Assault’s second album ‘Dead by Dawn’ was released in June 2011 and the band released a 10th anniversary release of that album earlier this year.

To Celebrate the unholy rites of Samhain Night, Final Assault is now releasing two live gigs from Jyväskylä and Helsinki, which were played in 2012 with the original line-up. The Jyväskylä gig was played at the ‘Old, Fat and Slow’ skateboard event at Restaurant Ilokivi and the Helsinki gig was played at the legendary Tavastia club at HIM’s sold-out new year’s event ‘Helldone’. Both gig recordings of ‘Undead by Dawn’ were mixed by the band’s original drummer R.

Crossover band Final Assault is celebrating the tenth anniversary of the album ‘Dead by Dawn’ and has released a video filmed in the FA headquarters of the band playing through ‘Dead by Dawn’ in its entirety!

Final Assault’s second album ‘Dead by Dawn’ was released in June 2011. The band is now releasing a 10 year anniversary edition of the album, highly acclaimed by critics and audiences, featuring the previously unreleased song titled 'Suffer the Children'.
10th anniversary album also includes songs from 7” single 'King of Shame' previously released only on vinyl, as well as covers of Misfits ’Death Comes Ripping’ and Suicidal Tendencies 'I Feel Your Pain'.

‘Suffer the Children’ was dropped from the original album when the band felt it didn’t fit in with the rest of the material and remained in a demo-like state. Now, ten years later, the song is a perfect addition to the ‘previously unreleased’ category. The songs from ‘King of Shame’ will also be rightfully made available digitally with this anniversary edition.

In these times of chastising the event industry, the band would like to celebrate ten years of ‘Dead by Dawn’ with their current line-up playing through the album in the band’s moinquee -rehearsal room. The songs were performed in the order in which the album was originally due to be released, including ‘Suffer the Children’.

Crossover group Final Assault releases a second single and a new video from ’III-Return to Moshkinville’, a track titled ’Beerstroyer’ and a fierce cover of Sepultura’s 80’s classic ’Inner Self’!

Crossover group Final Assault’s latest release Beerstroyer single includes the songs Beerstroyer and Inner Self. Beerstroyer is the second single from the band’s third critically acclaimed album
’III-Return to Moshkinville’, released in December 2020, with soundscapes from the legendary Hiili Hiilesmaa. The b-side of the single features a cover version of Sepultura’s Inner Self released on the band’s 80’s classic ‘Beneath the Remains’.

The video for the song ’Beerstroyer’ was made by Final Assault’s longtime associate Janne Tamminen.

FINAL ASSAULT - III-RETURN TO MOSHKINVILLE

Crossover squad Final Assault have released their third album ‘III-Return to Moshkinville’ and a new video for the song ‘Baptized in Blood’!

Final Assault’s third album ‘III-Return to Moshkinville’ is now out.
Released through the band’s own Moshforce Records, the record blasts out 12 pieces of tight crossover/thrash metal, clocking the overall duration of the album into Slayer’s ‘Reign in Blood’ territory
with total duration of about 30 minutes. The album's tight soundscape is produced by the legendary Hiili Hiilesmaa.

To underline the austerity and roughness of the album, the band made a sanguinary video for the song 'Baptized in Blood’ with their longtime partner Janne Tamminen.
