Tomorrow is April 1st, which means it’s time for a new Walrus video!
In the video, we take you to Klimkaffee Herentals, one of the many boulder gyms popping up in Belgium. Although it has been around since July of 2021, it's our first time visiting. 🤩
As a way of climbing together, we came up with a friendly flash competition. We warmed up before taking each other on to see who would flash the hardest grade. The competition was intense as we worked our way through different difficulties. 💪
Our crew for the day included Mike, Olivier, Gilles, Robin, Dylan, Laura, and Sam. We continued to work our way through different boulders, each proving to be more challenging than the last.

Cedric, Senne, Mike and Sam head to Germany to climb a crag called Avalonia. The boulders sit on the southern rim of the Ruhrtal and are largely developed by Daniel Pohl. It's a very accessible area, with parking nearby and trails leading up and past multiple sections, such as Avalonia Cave, Galerie and Kirschblütental. 🇩🇪
The squad climbed Britonisches Wintermärchen and Cross Art, both graded 6c and Steppenwolf, graded 7a. They also tried their luck on Pueblo, graded 7a. 😎
