On October 7, 2023, the world woke up in shock and horror as Hamas terrorists launched a surprise attack on Israel. It became the deadliest day in Israeli history and the deadliest day for Jews since the end of the Holocaust.
1,200 people were killed, including 364 from the Nova music festival, accounting for more than 30% of the deaths that day. 251 were abducted, and today, 101 remain hostage. 105 were released in November and 35 bodies have been recovered.
Only 8 living hostages have been rescued by IDF troops.
