I was able to recharge my soul back to a 100% after a 3day work retreat by my company

ibàdàn’s iconic Bower’s Tower AKA LAYIPO is located in Oke Are, Ibadan, Nigeria, which is also the highest point in ibadàn, has a rich history dating back to 1936.
It was built in 1936 to honour Captain Robert Lister Bower, who was the first British resident in Ibadan appointed by the British Government in 1893 with the responsibility of ending the hostilities between the various Yoruba kingdoms. He carried on this task between 1893 - 1897.
The Bower’s Tower was designed by Taffy Jones, the same engineer that designed Mapo Hall. The historical tower is 60 feet tall and 11 feet square, with two entrances and around 47 spiral stairs leading to the tower’s summit, from where visitors may enjoy a 360-degree view of Ibadan.
The tower was also a point of watching out for invaders coming into the city of Ibadan as Oke Are and it’s environs were the main towns of Ibadan as at the time it was built. Other places in Ibadan were either thick forests or new establishments so standing at that point being the highest point of the city, gives one the advantage to see the whole city with ease using the binoculars.
