I just want to become more and more myself.
I'm not working to be like anybody else.
All I crave is feeling most ME in all situations.
Acting most like ME in all environments.
Getting to know myself and growing into the woman who is simply being who she was always called to be.

You'd think It'd come naturally.. but it actually takes work to unwind what's been wound up over years.

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double minded and unstable in all they do. James 1:6

I've been studying what "manifestation" means with biblical truths.
(It is my personal belief that us humans floating around on this rock have mixed things up and changed things around to make ourselves more comfortable, to match what we choose to believe or make it more believable.. Meaning, biblical teachings have been altered to fit a worldly perspective.)

I don't have it all figured out yet, I think we only know a small fraction of what God has created.. but what I've been learning is this.. Manifestations come through the Spirit. The closer you are with God, the easier it is to "manifest."
"Live by the spirit of God and keep in step with the spirit and the fruit will be love, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control, against these things there is now law. " Galatians 5:19
The Spirit produces character traits found in the nature of Christ and the closer you become with Him the more you will experience the spontaneous work and fruit. "In Him we are also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will." Ephesians 1:11.

Predestined: Determined in advance by divine will or fate.

You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motivates, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. James 4:3

All of this to say, God wants to give you the desires of your heart, but the closer you become to Him the more those desires will change from worldly, selfish, materialistic desires to Christ like desires. You may not be great at manifesting because the things you're trying to manifest aren't in alignment with God's will for your life.
Manifestation may work for non believers as they are in line with the energetic laws of the universe, gaining money, cars, success, fame..but does it bring true fulfillment? Does it fill the void?

3 things I learned going out to dinner with an ex…

Okay so despite advice from literally everyone I know.. I went out to dinner with an ex from a few years ago that just moved back to town. I was fully aware it could either be an extremely toxic endeavor or a great opportunity to shut doors that remain cracked open.

I decided to go because #1 we now happen to live within a mile of each other, it wasn’t a matter of if we run into each other it was when.. And I wanted to do it with intention instead of being caught off guard. #2 I held this deep ball of negative energy in my core that many would relate to as the feeling of resentment. I felt as though seeing him would help rid myself of that. And #3 my ego wanted him to see how well I’m doing and how I’m a 110% different person.

Okay so here’s what I learned..
#1. Time definitely doesn’t heal all wounds and closure is a real thing. If you can’t find closure on your own, be bold and go get it the way you need it. He didn’t give me closure, but the act of seeing him was what did it for me. You know yourself better than anyone, do what you need to do.

#2. People can change, but he definitely didn’t. Change doesn’t always happen with time, it has to happen intentionally. Meaning you set out to make a deliberate change to your life, your mentality and your perspective.

#3. Money can consume, cloud and shape a person to their core. You can chase it and have it in abundance, but it’s always going to leave you wanting more.. you’ll feel empty as you sacrificed relationships and time for something that doesn’t bring fulfillment.
I truly would rather be madly in love and broke than alone and rich.

One of my favorite pieces of scripture that reminds me to put more focus on my inner self, rather than magnifying the importance of my outward appearance. Which.. let's be honest, is really hard to do in this day in age..
We have constant reminders on social media.
I find myself jealous over clear skin, freshly done blonde hair, sunkissed tans, and that expensive fashion sense.
In my experience, it consumes me more when I'm not focused spiritually and internally. When I'm not consuming biblical truths about who I am, the worldly deceit creeps in.

If you’re feeling anxious, depressed, low vibe, hopeless..
Remember, your thoughts produce your feelings.

Your current circumstances may be troublesome.
Your experiences may make it difficult to carry on.
Many of you are grieving. Heartbroken. Devastated.
And experiencing things on this floating rock that feel unfair.

Note that your feelings toward these experiences are valid and you should process through the emotional cycle to overcome them. There is no shame in this and looks different for every human.

However, it is your choice to remain controlled by these emotions and experiences. Your mind is continuously producing emotions that are causing you to stay stuck in this cycle. Many people go years or even their entire lifetime covered by this dark cloud because they choose to allow their thoughts to negatively control their emotions and thus, the trials continue.

It’s not always a matter of continuing to attract negative experiences into your reality, because bad things happen to positive, optimistic people all the time.

It’s a matter of choosing how you overcome. Choosing to have hope and draw strength from a source outside yourself. Choosing to believe and have faith that there is a bigger meaning to our sufferings. Consciously putting effort into getting better rather than giving up.

Those who choose to remain under the darkness will live in a constant state of anxiety, grief, hopelessness and pessimism.

I pray for those of you who have been feeling this way. I understand it feels like a deep, dark hole you don’t know how to climb out of. I pray that over the next several days and weeks you feel a new strength stirring inside you. You see a new light shining above you, even if it’s just small glimmers each day. I pray for new hope to be planted in your heart. Healing over your body and mind. I pray that you open your eyes and see The One who is fighting for you.
