The lack of self care will eventually cause pain!!

Y’all, i was dragging myself to go get my nails done because, with what time?! 🥴 but it got to the point where my nails were way longer than i usually let them grow. They were cute, but too long for my line of work. So today as I’m cleaning, my nail got jammed and broke! Ladies, y’all understand my pain! It hurt like all hell! I could barely use that hand for the rest of my shift. So of course I had no choice but to go get them done today.

❗️As they fixed the nail, it caused pain! I had put myself in a position where I was feeling pain that could’ve been prevented.

❗️But once they were finished, there was minimal pain and I can do my job effectively again.

Here me, the fact that you keep putting off things that are for your good isn’t just a sign of self-inflicted pain, it’s also a sign that your boundaries aren’t as healthy as they could be.

This was a simple fix for me, but I didn’t want to take the time to see about Ciera.

So here’s your word: GO TAKE CARE OF YOU! The world will not fall apart because you stepped away for a minute. Take the cape off and go make sure you’re good before you continue to try to save the world and cause unnecessary pain for yourself. 🫶🏽

Today we got to witness these one of kind Insulated Concrete Form homes get filled with cement. Habitat for humanity are building these historical energy and cost efficient homes in Steelton that will one day be a blessing to first time homeowners! They are the first homes of its kind in Pennsylvania! We also has the opportunity to write well wishes on the walls of the future families.

Steelton is growing!! I’m just glad to be a small part of this great change!

This story is infuriating, frustrating and sad. We tell young moms to go get a job and make money but don’t offer support, and if they don’t work and get assistance, they’re a statistic with every negative connotation society Throws on them. It’s a lose lose situation. 😪

I used to think that for moms, self care was all about pampering yourself, taking time out for you and feeling beautiful on the outside. While it’s all of that, those things are really just surface level self care techniques.

Self care is also learning how to budget your finances. It’s creating boundaries that protect you and your peace. It’s saying no to what you want so you can have what you need.

Self care is a root issue. You must be willing to address the root in order to see the proper fruit!

So let’s talk.

It takes all lot of guts to heal, it takes even more guts to heal while mothering. When you suppress the trauma and pain from your past instead of dealing with it, i can promise you it’s going to show up again during motherhood.

When I realized i had suppressed pain and childhood trauma, it wasn’t until I was already a mom. So i had to intentionally relive it while taking care of my kids in order to heal from it. It wasn’t easy. It hurt like all hell. There was tears, fear, embarrassment, shame, guilt, almost every emotion you can imagine. But i did it. Not only because it was responsible to do so, but because my kids deserved a whole and healed mom and I deserved to be the best version of myself.

Here’s my for you: HEAL.

That’s it. Heal. The best version of you as a woman and mom is on the other side and that side is called HEALED. Air hugs!

Allow me to present to others and introduce to some, ME! 😘

My name is Ciera Dent and I am the Crown Adjuster! I’ve always had the passion to help people heal, but when i found myself pregnant in my Freshman year of college, my dream of being a pediatrician quickly diminished.

Throughout my life, my purpose has always seem to find me, whether I was working as a clerk, cashier, medical assistant or education liaison. The passion to help was always there.

After healing from childhood pain, being in foster care, having an absent mom due to drugs, and molestation, i promised God that whatever he freed me from, i would help others get free as well!

He held me to that promise.

Today, i mentor women of all ages by helping them heal from past trauma, and escorting them into their God-Given purposes.

My joy comes from mentoring moms who find themselves overwhelmed with motherhood. Truth is, motherhood is demanding. As a single mother of 4, i couldn’t let society narrate my story, so i help moms write their own narratives. Most times, women forget who they are as a woman first when they become mom. I help them overcome these obstacles by helping them heal, thrive and live their best lives!
