"Gotta say that first episode with stink man was pretty adorable. Typical conversation with a 7 year old lol. One thing I was so surprised about is him saying his favorite color was gold. I have never heard any kid say that. 😆 I also got goosebumps when he said his favorite song was talking to my daughter because it made him sad. Like that was pretty deep. It's so important for kids to understand that they're allowed to be sad too and being in touch with your emotions can only make you stronger in my opinion.

Couple suggestions: do a follow up with those songs be listens to that you said mommy was going to make a list of for you and maybe talk about those songs in a future podcast, also touch back on how he felt listening to some Michael Jackson songs...
I'd also be careful with the moments of silence in the podcasts, if possible, be ready to add some sort of sound or music in when you feel a moment of silence... I noticed a couple of them and obviously, it's going to happen on a completely unscripted conversation that you need to adjust to on the fly because you never know what's going to come out of a 7 year Old's mouth, or anyone you interview for that matter.
I also feel like he is a bit more outgoing then that so maybe on your next sit down with him, try to hype him up in advance.
Also if and when you interview LDot, you should definitely be sure to ask him the question Ryder had for him. I think that would be pretty cool.
You did really good capturing the emotion in your voice, especially when you were talking about your niece. Try to focus a lot on that because not being able to see your face (at least for me, never listening to a podcast before) wasn't that exciting. I like to be able to visualize exactly what's happening; so maybe focus more on setting the mood or the scene. Talk about what someone is wearing or their reaction to something if it wasn't clear in the answer... idk just some stuff I thought about while listening to the first episode."
Thank you Mr. Wiest for reaching out to the show and also for letting me posting your comments and suggestions. also please keep listening to the show and please keep sending the feedback
