This dress is a prime example of choosing quality over quantity.

This fabric and color can by styled so many ways.

I can dress it down with sandals and wear it in the fall with boots and a jacket.

Make sure you're shopping with love and intention. Your closet and wallet will thank you.

Listen, if they can’t State the price in public I’m not purchasing it.

I assume you are making up numbers and charging everyone something different.

Is it just me? Have you purchased from these type of retailers?

This shirt has become one of my favorite thrift pieces EVER!

I love the print and there's a ton of ways to style it.

I am very selective about what I thrift.

The clothes can be super cheap so you might have a tendency to get any and everything because its $1.

Look for that WOW factor.

It should feel more like you're getting something you would have paid full price for but you're glad you don't have to.

If you need help limiting your thrift purchases try giving yourself a budget of $20. You can also commit to purchasing no more than 5 items at once.

If you thrift something and you don't love it, DONATE it back. Do not let it loiter in your closet.

Happy thrifting 💛
I hope your next piece is your best piece.

I thrifted this jacket for $5.

Building a functional wardrobe is less about how much money you spend and more about knowing what clothes to select.

Always start by gathering high quality staple clothing in neutral color schemes. Then, you layer more eclectic statement pieces on top.

I found this jacket and a printed shirt that I'll be posting soon at a thrift store in Miami.

The shirt has to be one of my favorite thrift pieces EVER- can't wait to show it to you.

Have you found any good thrift pieces lately?

This next level of growth requires more courage.

So much of actually getting what you want is admitting your desires.

Ask for intimacy
Ask for the promotion
Ask for the collaboration
Ask the client for their business

We can't be so afraid that people might see us during the process that we don't get started. Or we get started but don't give it our all.

Be courageous in the pursuit of your blessings and while you're at it, dress like you own the place...one day you might.

Authentic style isn’t about following trends or wearing “name brands.”

It’s discovering the highest version of yourself and showing up as that person on a daily basis.

Most women shop consistently but still never love all or even most of the clothes they own.

You deserve to have more than a handful of outfits in rotation. Especially when your closet is filled to the brim.

Tell me honestly, what percent of your clothes do you actually wear?

Sometimes we view “letting go” as lack and this scarcity mindset can truly hold us back. Whether it’s letting go of toxic relationships/friendships, places/spaces that no longer serve you, or even material things (clothes, shoes, etc.) ... letting go makes room for abundance.

You will see that you will experience more peace of mind, more space, more time, more energy, and even more clarity when you let go. You are enough and you have everything you need already inside of you. ❤⠀

P.S., I’ve been participating in the Main St. Looks Spring Clean Challenge and I will say it has been so therapeutic! I feel lighter and I’ve already created space for abundance to flow—simply by letting go. If you haven’t already, join me for this challenge! This week is the last week!

Break out those sundresses, swim suits, and shorts that you've packed away.

1. This keeps you from accumulating unnecessary clothes as a result of buying the same things over and over.

2. You will also save money by not purchasing things you don't need when you have perfectly good options stored and forgotten about somewhere.

P.S.

If you do this, you might as well declutter the entire closet.

The Spring Clean challenge is going on now. Winner receives $100 gift card.

I believe most women have invested well over $10,000 into their wardrobes.

200 pieces of clothing at $50 each is $10,000. So including shirts, pants, skirts, blouses, dresses, shoes, accessories, and any luxury items you likely have invested way more than you realize.

We can spend a lifetime shopping and still not love all or even most of the clothes in our closets.

This was my story for so long.

When I finally realized that there was a system to build my wardrobe up like a collection my first thought was.... If I had known this years ago I could have saved soooo much money.

With your wardrobe, just like in all things. It pays to have a plan. There is a way to invest wisely and be intentional when adding new pieces.

How confident are you that your last wardrobe purchase was a good one?

Every problem has a solution...

I came up with the brilliant idea to turn this beautiful scarf into a shirt. I didn't bother to check the dimensions. Ya'll. It was waaaay too small to be a shirt. Luckily I was sent two scarves and able to tie them together to make this look.

These shorts are from a suit and I love that I was able to take a professional piece and use it for a brunch vibe.

Swipe to see the full suit.

Moral of the story: Use what you have and be creative. The results just might surprise you. I know these did! ❤️🛍

P.S.

We still have one week left in the Spring Clean Challenge. Winner receives $100 gift card.

The older I get, the more I find the "clichés" of life to be true.

The more grateful you are, the more you have to grateful for.

Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance. - Eckhart Tolle

I hope these lavish closets provide you a boost of inspiration to make the most of your current space and belongings while you work towards obtaining your most ambitious goals.

Here’s the encouragement you didn’t know you needed to do two things.

1. Dream Big- I know we hear this all the time but as an adult it’s really rare. I caught myself scaling my dreams down to be more “realistic.”

Then I realized, It’s a damn DREAM! It doesn’t have to be. It shouldn’t be. It should be so unrealistic it sounds ridiculous aloud. Yes, dream that big.

2. Take the first baby step toward it.

You’re welcomed,

Would you find this useful?

This just popped into my IG feed and I love it.

Especially if you could just swap the outfits on days where you decide to wear Thursday’s outfit on a Monday.

Let me know if I should add how to create this to my course curriculum?

I’ve noticed that many clients have a habit of buying clothes with no versatility. No wonder items are loitering in your closet!

When I came across this Little Black Romper by it was an instant classic. I can think of so many ways to style it and so many places to wear it. Zoom meeting, dinner date, airport, movie, picnic, happy hour, networking event, mall.

Recognize this, scarcity is a marketing tactic used to entice you to buy out of the fear of missing out.

“Only 5,000 of these handmade Italian bags were released this fall”

“Only 2 items remaining and they are in someone’s cart”

Slow down, think about it, evaluate the item.
Do you actually have anywhere to wear this?

I’m not suggesting you pass up on a once in a lifetime chance to get a gem. Like a really unique or high quality item that you would enjoy for years to come.

I’m talking about those questionable items that you buy only because they're on sale or you have an event to attend and want something new.

If you had all the time in the world, would you still buy it?
Answering this question is one way to dodge those items currently gathering dust in your closet.

Putting yourself out there IS scary. It’s also necessary.

My greatest fear is getting to the end of my life and never reaching my full potential.
This offsets any doubts I have about “putting myself out there.”

I am a firm believer that we each have a responsibility to share our contributions with one another. Whenever I read books, take courses, watch films, and attend events that change my life, I’m grateful that someone pushed past fear and distractions to share their work.

So while you host the zoom meeting, attend the event, write the book, record the podcast, film the video, and start the business use style as a tool to position yourself as an industry expert and secure opportunities.

I created the Body Type Styling Guide to help you invest in the most flattering clothing pieces and elevate your personal image.
