Middle North Falls, Silver Falls State Park, Oregon
One of the great features of Silver Falls State Park is that it is relatively easy to photograph many of the waterfalls from several different angles. This allows one to come away with several unique photographs and experience the fun of playing with various compositions and perspectives. Middle North Falls is one of the prettiest waterfalls in the park, and it can be photographed from many different angles. One can even walk behind the waterfall. I estimate that it can be shot from a range of about 270 degrees without even leaving the trail!
This photograph was shot through the trees as I was first approaching the waterfall. As soon as I saw this view, I dropped my backpack and pulled out my camera. There was no need to go further and try for another angle until I shot this one. It was too good to pass up!
