Who doesn’t love fresh flowers and plants? 🪴🍎 Each day, the Minneapolis Farmers Market connects Minnesotans to farm fresh, locally grown fruits, veggies, flowers and more! Open daily from 6am-1pm with the widest selection on weekends, a visit to the market is a great way to start your day.
Check it out at East Lyndale Ave. & Glendale Ave. in downtown Minneapolis. You can also check out the Nicollet Mall Market on Thursdays from 10:00-2:30.

The Foshay Tower observation deck offers stunning views of the Minneapolis skyline and the surrounding metro area. Located on the 31st floor, your ticket also includes a visit to a small museum about the building’s history on the same floor.
Foshay Tower was built in 1929 and was the tallest building in the Midwest for 48 years. Today, it is home to the W Hotel.

It’s believed that Minnesota is home to the largest Hmong population in the U.S. with more than 60,000 people living here.
One way to immerse yourself into the culture is a visit to Hmong Village on the east side of St. Paul. Introduced to me by a friend, this bustling indoor market features more than 250 vendors selling clothes, beauty products, toys, health services, law services and, of course, food! Weekends are busy, but there is a fairly large parking lot.
