The AT4-X AEV stands as GM's top-tier offering for their 1500 off-road trucks, but can it carve its place in a market dominated by the Raptor and TRX dinosaurs?

💪 Performance:
Beneath the hood, the regular V8 6.2L engine delivers 420 horsepower—unchanged and not particularly thrilling. Opting for the 2024 Duramax engine might be wiser for those mindful of fuel consumption.

👁️‍🗨️ AEV Package:
The AEV package boasts robust steel bumpers, skid plates, and distinctive 18-inch AEV Salta wheels. It's a rugged aesthetic combined with practical off-road features like a winch-capable front bumper and protective skid plates.

🏎️ Driving Experience:
Behind the wheel, the Multimatic™ DSSV dampers enhance off-road stability and on-road comfort, elevating the driving experience.

⛽️ Fuel Economy:
With an average of 17.0L per 100KM, it competes in the Raptor Ecoboost H.O territory.

🛠️ Practicality:
Towing capacity at 8700 lbs edges past the dinosaurs, but payload maxes out at 1290lbs, surprisingly less.

👍 Verdict:
While the AT4-X AEV is more budget-friendly than its dinosaur counterparts, it leans towards functionality over fun. The addition of the Duramax powertrain in 2024 makes sense for daily use, positioning it favorably below the Baja Dinosaurs in pricing.
