Happy Friday! Throughout my recovery I am so thankful for the avenues of healing that the Lord provides through our podcast, book, and blog! It’s such a blessing to share in my recovery, through the Lord, with people around me and on social media. Some ways YOU can share in recovery are by listening to the podcast (starting back up in the Fall!), reading our book (Speak Out Loud), and engaging in/sharing our weekly blog!

Reminder: YOU are a BLESSING✨

Today is our Rylee Anne’s birthday!!! She is sunshine and mercy and the lover of sharing her time in the midst of busyness with those new and not so new to her life. Ry teaches me by example that God is the giver of all good things and that’s his forgiveness never stops. Thank you for living Jesus with all that you are, lovely Ry. You, sweetheart, are a difference-maker for our Lord. Thank you for letting me be apart of your days…your life. I love you beyond measure!-mama🥰

(Continued from post…)

…But those 2 are fights that are bookends because when I don’t choose to battle well, none of the in-betweens even matter.
You have something that requires utter fight, just as you know I do. So on a regular basis, I write the reasons I do fight to remind myself that this war in my head isn’t just about me. My choices affect others. My relationship with Jesus, my husband, my girls, my sister, my friends, our ministry, and you. Honestly, sometimes…ok, often, I do not feel like fighting for me. But when I picture myself declining and going toward dying again, I cry because of how that would devastate my family and community. So I pick up my fork even though my hand can shake to hold it, and in addition, I can wait on the front porch for my husband and girls to come home so that when they pull into our driveway they see hope and progress and not have to fear what they’ll find when they enter a quiet house. It’s not fair to them to have to wonder and fear, and it’s accountability for me.
Why, my friend, why do you fight? Find reasons. Physically write them down and look at those reasons. Study those reasons. I do. This practice is vital as I make the choice to stay here and do hard things. If we can at moments stake our lives on lies, we can study to memorize truth to counteract and choose to fight!

When you and I do this? Great are the rewards. For it is then that we get to see and experience the magical hues and shades that God wants to show us in each moment, and in our lives. Love to you-Stacee

In the second half of Stacee and Doug’s interview with youth pastors, teachers and author Dr. Sam and Krissi Dallas, the conversation continues about finding hope and help for teens and their families struggling with mental health.  Sam and Krissi share a combined 40 years of working with teens and families and have seen the dramatic increase of young people battling depression and anxiety but have also guided and helped students find help, recovery and renewed life.

Another takeaway from our trip is the importance of scripture. While with the ladies we spoke about 1 Peter 5:7 which says, “Cast all your cares on him because he cares for you”. I hope that you find peace and hope in this reality today!

One of the most special aspects of writing a book, is something I never foresaw. I didn’t think of how personal it would feel to sign books for people…for new friends and those closest to my ongoing journey. At events, it may even be briefly making eye contact with someone-you, possibly, and hearing a blip of your heart, of the path you’re fighting to manage, validating the difficulty. Identifying with the suffering. Looking ahead to hope. You deserve that feeling of someone on this earth getting you. How much more, nevertheless, does Jesus get you? It takes courage to walk up to me or someone else who has just shared hard things, and say…I’m there right now and I’m tired and I’m trying not to give up. Those moments with you are why I wrote the book and why I continue to write to you. It helps my journey, and hopefully yours.
While in Honolulu, the women who I shared precious space with, bought books and I got to share encouragement and hope in Jesus on that front blank page. That page was guaranteed to be there because we all deserve to be seen and loved on as we read raw reality and hope-filled help.
A few of these new military friends of mine took pics of each other reading my book on the beach. Too fun! So meaningful! Thank you, ladies.
Need a Beach book? A book to reassure you of Jesus willingness to save you as you sit on the porch of a vacation spot? A book to comfort you as you sit in your closet in the night and need hope to get you to the morning?

You Are Worth Saving -letters of hope from a desperate heart.
Amazon, Barnes and Noble, audiobook on Audible, Sundog Books in Seaside, Florida, Full Circle Books in OKC, OK, Laughing Willow, Bishop Arts, Dallas, Texas at any event I share my story.
Love to each of you-

Here is one big take away from our time in Hawaii!

So….Doug and I went to Honolulu for me to speak to some amazing women who are on the front lines of their homes so that their husbands, in this scenario, can be on the front lines in all branches of service for our US military.
Why am I ever surprised that when I get to share how God, who is always desiring to be active in my life, let’s me share how he is using his word, his hope, his strength to help me live -  totally ends up blessing me, in my opinion-even more than I encourage those he puts before me to help guide, teach his word to, and love on, even more!
In our strengths and weakness, God calls us to community so that He we can do life together!
In the next few days…in different ways, I want to show you a glimpse of our time away. I hope so much that you will follow, comment, and pass along not only the beauty, but the fact that God has given you a story to share and that can begin right here-right now, my friends!
And to the  strong and resilient women of PWOC…my life will forever be that much sweeter because you let me come in from OKC and spend authentic time with you in your part of the world. Thank you!

We will be sharing takeaways and stories of what God did on our page! Please follow us as a way to support the ministry.🌺🤍
