Itinatayo at ganap nang nagagamit ang bagong two-storey, 4-classroom school building sa Mauricio F. Fabito National High School sa Barangay Alegria, Corcuera, Simara Island, Romblon. Ang proyektong ito ay ipinagawa ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Romblon District Office upang tugunan ang dumaraming bilang ng mga mag-aaral sa naturang paaralan.

Ang gusali ay moderno, may steel jalousie windows, pinturadong pader at bubong, at kumpletong mga palikuran. Ayon sa DPWH MIMAROPA, layunin ng proyekto na lumikha ng mas maayos at komportableng kapaligiran para sa mga mag-aaral, gayundin sa mga g**o upang mas epektibo ang kanilang pagtuturo.

Isa pang mahalagang aspeto ng gusali ay ang lokasyon nito sa mataas na bahagi ng barangay, na nagbibigay ng dagdag na benepisyo bilang evacuation center tuwing may kalamidad.

Survivor of San Jose Sea Tragedy Reunited with Family, Coast Guard Intensifies Search Efforts

Arnel Belleca, one of the ten survivors of the recent sea accident near San Jose, was reunited with his family earlier today after being rescued and brought to Romblon. Belleca, along with his family, is now en route to Looc, Romblon, where they will retrieve the body of his sibling, who tragically lost their life when their boat sank during a voyage from Boracay to Antique on Monday.

Personnel from the Philippine Coast Guard provided assistance to the family during this difficult time. The Coast Guard also continues its search and rescue operations, aiming to locate the remaining passengers who are still missing following the maritime disaster.

LOOK: Today, 1,455 minimum wage earners from Looc, Alcantara, and Santa Fe will receive assistance through the Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development. Palagi kaming nagkikita ni DICT Regional Director Cheryl Ortega sa zoom/online events pero ngayon lang kami nagkita sa personal. Napakabait at pleasant ni Ma’am. Salamat kay RD Cheryl at sa DICT Romblon team sa mga naitulong ng DICT sa Odiongan, kasama na ang Tech4Ed Center, mga trainings para sa remote/online work (virtual assistance, graphic design, website design, atbp.), at pag establish ng Tech4Ed Center sa ONCES (Odiongan North Central Elementary School). Ang DICT din ang tumulong sa pag establish ng VIMS or electronic at online na COVID19 vaccination system. Looking forward to more programs and projects from DICT for Odiongan! Salamat po!
