General Motors is exploring uses for ChatGPT as part of its broader collaboration with Microsoft, a company executive told Reuters.

"ChatGPT is going to be in everything," GM Vice President Scott Miller said in an interview last week.

The chatbot could be used to access information on how to use vehicle features normally found in an owner's manual, program functions such as a garage door code, or integrates schedules from a calendar, Miller said.
"This shift is not just about one single capability like the evolution of voice commands, but instead means that customers can expect their future vehicles to be far more capable and fresh overall when it comes to emerging technologies," a GM spokesperson said on Friday.

The news was first reported by the website Semafor, which said that the American automaker was working on a virtual personal assistant that uses AI models behind ChatGPT.

Earlier this year, Microsoft announced a multi-billion-dollar investment in ChatGPT-owner OpenAI and said it aims to add the chatbot's technology into all its products.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) has collaborated with Google and has launched the “Grow with Google” program. The program will offer 5,000 scholarships for Pakistanis and the scholarships would be given for the most in-demand Google certifications. The initiative aims to upskill the youth of the province, enabling them to explore better career options in the global market space and become globally competitive.

The program is being run by TechValley in Pakistan and it will additionally be focusing on enabling women to benefit from the opportunity, with a launch on International Women’s Day to celebrate the contribution of women in society.

Google has other concerns in mind rather than just goodwill, a global digital skills shortage being one of them. Experts are warning that millions of jobs are going unfilled due to a lack of qualified candidates. According to a report by the World Economic Forum, by 2025, over 85 million jobs could go unfilled due to a lack of skilled workers.

Pakistan is a country that has been affected by the lack of skilled people prior to the global trend as even the graduates lack professional skills in their respective fields. According to a recent report by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan warning that the country is facing a digital skills gap, with a shortage of skilled workers in areas such as software development, data analytics, and cybersecurity.

"Pakistani Motorway ab Robotic hone walay hein jald hi"

The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has reported that it will equip motorways M1, M2, M3, and M4 with Intelligent Transport System (ITS), a system that will reportedly change the ways challans are issued and enforced on Pakistan’s national highways and motorways.

Reducing delays for commuters and identifying speeding vehicles, the ITS will be NHMP’s major step towards traffic modernization.

News about the ITS came out as NHMP announced an agreement between Motorway Police and the Frontier Works Organization (FWO). This agreement to implement the ITS on the motorways took place through the National Highway Authority (NHA).

According to NHMP, the installation of these systems will eliminate commuter delays on motorways. This is because commuters will not be stopped and charged for overspeeding, instead a challan will be registered against the speed offenders automatically.

A similar human-less system can already be noticed at the Lahore-Sialkot motorway where speed offenders pay their challan once they reach the toll tax booth, placed towards the end of the motorway.

The US strengthens tech ties with India but doesn’t seek decoupling from China,
The U.S. government is not seeking to “decouple” from China, nor is it seeking “technological decoupling,” but Washington “would like to see India achieve its aspirations to play a larger role in the electronics supply chain,” U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said on Friday.

On its part, the U.S. signed a memorandum of understanding with India on Friday to cooperate in the semiconductor sector.

The semiconductor industries in both the nations are beginning to assess the resiliency and gaps in the supply chain network, said Raimondo, whose department is overseeing pouring of about $52 billion into the U.S. semiconductor industry.

“You don’t have to believe me when I say that this is a consequential relationship and the U.S. government is excited to lean into this relationship with the government of India… the fact that 10 leading CEOs from the U.S. came here and have pledged to do more business in India… I think that’s a testament,” she told reporters at a press conference in New Delhi.

India, the world’s second most populous nation, holds key importance in the ever-shifting geopolitical relationships among many powerful nations. The U.S.’s increasing alliance with India, with whom it also maintains a strategic dialogue through a Quad group with Japan and Australia, is emblematic of the growing concerns from American policymakers to cut reliance on China.

But even as India and the U.S. tighten their tech ties, Washington is not looking to cut reliance on China, she insisted. “We see India as a trusted technology partner and we want to continue to deepen our technological relationship with India. But I also want to make it clear that the United States doesn’t seek to decouple from China.”

"Hacker ne $200 Million Chori karliye Crypto Currency lender se"

Hackers steal around $200 million from crypto lender Euler Finance,
On Monday, the blockchain monitoring firm PeckShield sent an ominous tweet directed at the crypto lending platform Euler Fiance, simply saying: “Hi […] you may want to take a look.”

What the firm was suggesting Euler take a look at was a series of transactions that indicated there was an ongoing hack against Euler. According to PeckShield, hackers exploited Euler “in a flurry of transactions” which led to the theft of around $197 million in crypto. Crypto security firm BlockSec also reported the attack.

While this sounds like a lot of money—and it is—it’s only the 26th largest crypto theft ever, according to a website that keeps track of crypto hacks and scams.
