‪There can’t be too many stories like Metin’s. He got so close to realising the Gladiators dream he had trained, got in shape, and even grew his hair for (!) before he was given his marching orders after a secret illness halted his training and stopped him from eating.

🎙 Weininger tells Jet Loves about how using a treadmill for the first time during the trials nearly ruined his chance to shine on Gladiators and how he had to be escorted out of the NIA after arriving FOUR hours early and seeing one legendary Gladiator getting in some Duel practise!

🚨But despite these early hiccups - and struggles on some of the events - Weininger explains how he went on to become the first male contender champion and how that feeling has inspired his work for almost 30 years.
