Kia ora Tāmore Whānau!

We hope everyone is keeping as well as possible leading up to the end of the year 💚

A little update from us, we've collectively decided to honour the organic energy & flow behind Tāmore, so instead of releasing monthly as originally intended we will release an issue as the content is ready. We'd much prefer to honour our content creators with the flexibility to produce the writings as it comes into fruition naturally rather than creating tight deadlines.

So thank you for your patience! We are aiming to get another issue together by the end of the year but that may end up flowing over to the start of 2022, we will keep you in the loop!

For now, check out this amazing project Michael from Toha Kai] has going on and if you've got some spare change it's a very worthy cause 🙏

Check it out! If you'd like to grab a physical copy of our first issue we have some down at the beautiful Understory, a vibrant (& plant-filled 💚) co-working space in the CBD The Green Lab

A lot of the design work for Tāmore was born out of their last pop up space, so we can confirm through experience that their spaces are perfect for letting the creative juices flow! Whether you're looking for something casual or more permanent they have options to suit! Check out their page for more info.

One more sleep! Wahoo. We're beyond excited to share the first issue of Tāmore with you and we wish to express a huge thank you to all who have joined us so far 🌱💚

Here's another snippet from a beautiful piece of writing titled "Belonging is an action". Written by the wonderful Chris from Unchatter (), an organization that host events around the country to practice the art of meaningful connection. Incredible mahi! Be sure to check them out.

"During our August L4 episode, I went foraging for poplar wood to carve a spoon and inspire my creativity. From the high vantage point of a tall poplar tree I watched locals buzz along the river banks, exercising in the sun. I sat in the tree’s embrace and gave thanks for the branch I’d shape into a breakfast gobbler. In the contrast between the buzzing world and the slow gratitude of this tree, I felt a calm belonging. And when I slowly chow my morning porridge, I feel it too".

If you're not receiving a box from tomorrow & you would like to receive a physical copy, we will be announcing some locations around the city you can collect one from during the week! We will also be releasing the digital copy tomorrow 🙏

Thanks again! Ngā mihi nui.

Exciting news!!! We've just had word that our first batch of Tāmore is ready to collect from the printers! This means you can expect to see a fun wee edition to next week's food box! If you haven't ordered yet you're not too late, orders for next week are open til 10pm tonight!

Here's the first sneak peak at some of the content featured:

"All parts of the Dandelion are edible, the greens are nutrient rich, they go well in salads, soups and pestos. The leaves and roots are also used in herbal medicine as teas and tinctures. If you are thinking of foraging Dandelion for your own use, make sure you have identified the correct plant and pick away from places where weeds may be sprayed with chemical pesticides or herbicides".

This snippet of writing along with the beautiful illustration was created by (on instagram), be sure to check out her page for more of her incredible work! Thanks again for working with us Maraed! 🌼💛

Lastly, if you haven't already heard Roimata Pere-Pairama have launched an exciting new crowdfunding campaign to get an amazing mural painted on site in Radley Park! Created by local Artist/Designer Sandrine Line Marie and paints to be supplied by the awesome team at Natural Paint Co 🎨 All info and links on their page. Definitely worth checking out and supporting, Roimata plays an integral part of our local community and it would mean a lot!

Arohanui & happy Friday! 🌱💚

Kia ora koutou, haere mai!
Hello and welcome!

Tāmore is a Ōtautahi based publication (both physical & digital) created with intention to connect, inspire and educate. It's designed to deepen our relationship and connection to the world around us, and to see how this invites understanding of how simple alterations to the way we live can invite a greater sense of wellbeing for all.

Where can you find us? Tāmore is being physically printed and released once a month via the amazing food boxes, and we are also working on having copies stationed in some of your favorite cafes around the city! Official release date coming soon.

A digital copy is also being released for anyone to view at any time! More information on this to come.

What to expect? We have an incredible range of local content creators featured and we will be sharing sneak peaks in the days to come!

A quote from our creator Michael Reynolds:
"Eating is more than just a way of sustaining ourselves, it is a practice of being in relationship with the whenua and with our seasons. When we act whilst holding an intention of being in tune with the world around us, we go deeper and nourish ourselves to new depths".
