Here are three tips for those looking to get started with medical cannabis 🌱

1. Connect with yourself. You know your body best. What are your symptoms and how do you imagine cannabis helping them?

2. Advocate for yourself. Sadly, we still live in a world littered with misinformation and stigma. Research shows that cannabis may have a positive effect on many symptoms and that it has a high level of safety when consumed safely. Speak up at your next healthcare appointment and discuss your options with confidence.

3. Educate yourself. Connect with someone who is educated in medical cannabis (like me). We will help you set your intention for cannabis consumption and improve your success by working with you as you navigate the products, doses, methods, side effects and therapeutic benefits of cannabis.

It is October. Which means it is Breast Cancer Awareness month. 🎀💝
For me, it’s a mixed bag. I have my scans this month and I am feeling healthier than I ever have! I am 7.5 years from Dx!!! 🙌

I am sending strength and love to all of those swimming through these murky waters.
I am sending love to all of the survivors. ❤️
I am sending peace to all those who have lost someone to this disease.

It was a very tumultuous time. I never asked to be a part of this group. Yet here I am. Holding space in October. The emotions can easily all come flooding back 🥹

However the people I have met BECAUSE of this disease has been heartwarming. They have been a pillar of survival. A pillar of strength. I met one of my best friends because of this disease and I cherish that!

I am so very fortunate to be a survivor. I am so very fortunate that many things went in my favour. I am so friggin proud of myself for facing the disease, digging deep, building resilience on purpose to help give myself the best possible experience amongst the destruction of a cancer Dx. Cause, it really does blow up your life.

When I heard the news, I took a deep breath and decided to step into the ring of fire. The ring of healing.

My thoughts were…

I am going to heal myself through this disease that took my Grandmothers life.
I am going to also survive This disease that had just devastated my Mothers life.
I will turn towards it, face it and tackle each step as it comes. I will live and heal and survive by my values. I always put my quality of life first and I am so happy I did.

I urge you,
Today, please commit to your self breast exams. Please make the appointment for your mammogram. Please see your doctor (and be persistent) as soon as you notice any change. Please know ultrasounds can be effective at detection too.

We know more now about this disease than ever before.

Yes, I can do the hard things. Yet, I know I didn’t do it alone. 🙏
Thank you to all my friends, family, colleagues, neighbours, community groups and followers.

You all became my life line and I will cherish that 🤗 always ❤️
