Personal Realization

I've finished reading a chapter of "Think Like A Monk" and I came to this saying: "You can't be anything you want. But you can be everything you are."

While growing up, we were thought "You can be anything you want to be.", but the truth is, if we follow that saying, it will lead us too much more disappointment in the future. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. Some can be great at doing creative work and some may excel at doing administrative tasks. Putting this pressure to achieve everything, is not only stressful but it can hinder success, our own success.

If we focus more on our strengths and not dwell on our weaknesses, we can achieve greater results and even more, be able to know what our passion and purpose is in life. Everything can be learned, but we must accept that we can't be successful in everything. Acceptance will lead us to compassion and grace within ourselves.

Being surrounded by people with different skills and talents, I too feel intimidated, but if I keep comparing my strengths and weaknesses to others, how will I excel? And if you feel like you're not enough or not skilled, maybe try looking at another perspective. That maybe you ARE skilled and that you just haven't used it up to your own potential.

So what do you love? What excites you? Follow that.

Our strengths don't hide. It's already within us. But we must stay curious, be open to try new things and it will smoothly appear. 💪
