Hey everyone, Josh here. I want to personally thank each and every person that has helped this show grow into what it became, with massive thank you to Matt Stoltz for becoming the main co-host of the show and bringing a wealth of knowledge with him. Chris Parrish and Colby Marshall as well for allowing us access into the vault of the International Monster Truck Museum and Hall of Fame vault for incredible footage to help analyze these awesome old school events. All of our other cohosts who've contributed deserve a huge thank you as well.

Unfortunately I'm just no longer able to put in the time and effort it takes to put this show together weekly, or even monthly at this point. This is not the end of the show however. Consider this as a "Special Edition." Kind of podcast, meaning that whenever we can get some extra time, we will put a couple shows out for everyone's listening pleasure. All shows within our Archives will remain up and available for listening on Spotify, ITUNES, and of course our YouTube Channel.

With TNT Motorsports Unfinished Business coming to Raleigh, NC this weekend, Matt Stoltz and Nick Davis will take us back to 1990 for one of the most exciting TNT Motorsports events ever aired on television. The USHRA Event in Tampa held in 1989 was certainly a unique mix of Monster Trucks. Bigfoot, Pony Express, Thumper, Outlaw 35, Virginia Giant, and Chi-Town Hustler were here to run on a long, unique straight line track that is just about as unique for the time as the lineup. The Tanks were well represented as well with Car Killer and Virginia Beach Beast adding to an already very unique looking field of trucks. Josh Rhodes is once again out of the recording studio so Matt Stoltz and Jason Rouna of JConcepts will be bringing you all the old school action this week!

From our Host, Josh Rhodes:

This news hits me really hard this morning. In 1988 my Mom recorded a show from Minneapolis Minnesota, one that I'd re-watch over and over again though a number of years. It featured Rich Hooser winning the event driving Bigfoot IV. I didn't get to see many events on TV live, so my early recordings are really all I had. To a very young Josh, Rich Hooser was the man.

It might not be one of the "Holy Grails" of old school Monster Truck Racing events, but it holds a special place in my heart. I've recited quotes from that event for years. Rich was one of my early heros from the sport. So much so that in 2019 I completely rebuilt my Bigfoot IV RC Replica to mirror that win from Minneapolis 1988 and went on to win the Bigfoot Open House Retro class with it. It was a special win for me.

Rest In Peace Rich. Thank you for the memories.

Our thoughts are with the Hooser family and friends as we learn of Rich Hooser's recent passing.

We finish out Grave Digger Month with a Monster Wars classic! We always seem to find ourselves going back to Louisville Motor Speedway here on RMTR and this week we visit the 1993 show. For our ITunes Listeners: I've emailed ITunes inquiring why Episode 48 is absent. We did switch hosts last month to Anchor, however the last 2 December episodes and all of this months episodes so far have went on ITunes without issue. So far, all they have done is opened up a ticket on the issue and I have not received any further update. I apologize for this situation and will do my best to get it resolved quickly.
