Alright Rocker Nation - I’m very excited to have TESLA Bassist BRIAN WHEAT on board for episode 050 to discuss his book “Son of a Milkman...”!
I’m very proud of this discussion for a few reasons: 1) I found this book very inspiring and think it would be uplifting to anyone going through a struggle in life. 2) We discussed some very cool tidbits - I.e. Tesla being the first band to perform on the Def Leppard “in the round” stage, “Shock” being a misunderstood album, incorporated a few questions from fans in The Rocker’s Forum, etc. 3) We did all of the above without getting into the mud re: tension with former band mates.

Jump in as Ron Winter from The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and I discuss the long tenure of the band, the release of the new single “Is This the Real World”, and the impact of Van Halen on the band. The linktree in the bio is ready (👆🏻) and Ep. 040 is LIVE!!
It was interesting, during our conversation we ended up discussing Van Halen as the call took place just a couple hours after I heard the news of Edward Van Halen’s passing.
I was heartbroken, shaken, and mentally scattered. However, I learned a Rocker Life Lesson years ago that came to mind that afternoon: SHOW UP. The call was scheduled and planned. And if I canceled, there would be at least 2-3 frustrated individuals, and an audience left without content when they were planning to have it. All because of a choice I would have been making. So I showed up. And I’m glad I did. I found out about Ron and his bandmates’ love of Van Halen and ended up with someone to open up to about the news.
I hope the events of this week are easier to take on board, but whatever you do, hug your loved ones and remind them what they mean to you.
