NFL SEASON PREVIEW: BEARS

The Chicago Bears have officially moved on from the Justin Fields Era into the Caleb Williams Era. Along with it, comes a slew of changes to the team. They also picked up one of the best WRs in the draft in Rome Odunze, they got Keenan Allen, D’Andre Swift, and they already had DJ Moore so Caleb will have absolutely no problem finding someone to get the ball to. And the Defense was a top-tier defense at the end of the season after adding Montez Sweat, but they also decided to get Kevin Byard, who at one point was one of the best Safeties in the League.

I actually like what the Bears did this offseason a lot. They weren’t afraid to spend money on guys and make a splash, I just wish they did that for Caleb instead of doing one thing here, one thing there. Either way, I do think that the Bears struggle early on, and maybe I am giving a low record prediction here but I only see them going 8-9 this year, but if things work out how they hope they will, watch out for the future of Chicago.

NFL SEASON PREVIEW: SAINTS

The Saints had a fairly quiet offseason. There wasn’t any big splash moves or signings, the biggest thing was when they released Michael Thomas, honestly. I did like the Draft of Kool-Aid McKinstry, I think he will develop into a good and quality CB for the Saints. Outside of that, their QB is still Derek Carr, and he is not getting any younger. I love Chris Olave but that’s about it on offense. If they can have the Alvin Kamara of 3 years ago, 6 TD in one game Kamara, then I would give them probably 3-4 more wins than I do now, but I am just worried that Kamara is gone.

Saints will finish 6-11, sadly.

NFL SEASON PREVIEW: BILLS

The Bills for the last 3 or 4 years have always been in contention with the top teams in the AFC for a spot in the Super Bowl, but never were able to get it done for whatever reasons. After last year and the offseason they have had, I think their championship window is closing and they need to capitalize soon.

The loss of Diggs is going to do more damage than I think a lot of people think. But, you did Draft Keon Coleman, who I think will be a good WR, you still have Shakir, who I think proved himself last year in a big way that he can be a reliable target for Josh Allen, you also added guys like Curtis Samuel, Will Clapp, La’el Collins, MVS, and more, so you don’t have a bad roster, per se, but with the return of the Bengals this year and the emergence of a couple other teams, the AFC just got a whole lot harder, and you were already struggling.

I think the Bills will have a big down year, taking a few steps back and also just barely missing the playoffs at 8-9, behind the Dolphins.

Tell me, am I crazy for that?

NFL SEASON PREVIEW: COWBOYS

The Dallas Cowboys had probably the worst offseason out of all 32 teams. Their first move was to re-sign their long snapper, which congrats to him, first and foremost. Then they go on a streak of re-signing other guys like Rico Dowdle, all while losing Leighton Vander-Esch to retirement, you release Michael Gallup, but then you do go and sign Eric Kendricks, and brought back Zeke because you couldn’t get Derrick Henry.

Honestly, the only thing you guys have going for you is that you have Micah Parsons, DaRon Bland, and are getting a healthy Trevon Diggs back. Outside of that, you do have Ceedee Lamb and *eye roll* Dak Prescott, I don’t see much else that will help you jump above an Eagles team that just added Saquon Barkley. You’ll have a good season and will make the playoffs, but you’ll have another first-round exit like usual and will finish with a 12-5 record.

NFL SEASON PREVIEW: BENGALS

The Bengals 2023 Campaign wasn’t what they had hoped for, they lost their franchise guy in Joe Burrow, although Browning didn’t do horrible for them. They weren’t super loud this offseason compared to other teams that we will talk about, but the biggest thing going into this season is going to be that they are getting Joe Burrow back healthy. That is number one on the good things that happen to the Bengals this offseason.

Some key moves were the loss of Joe Mixon, the Addition of Zack Moss, and Geno Stone, along with the return of Vonn Bell back to Cincinnati, and other guys like Sheldon Rankins, Drew Sample, etc.

Obviously, you lost a talented RB in Mixon, but there were a lot of off-field and front-office issues it seemed with him over the last couple of years, and you supplemented his departure with the guy who shouldn’t have lost his starting spot last year in Former Colts RB Zack Moss. Adding 2 talented Safeties as well is something your defense was lacking last year after Jessie Bates left as well.

Going into this season, I think that the Bengals are going to go back to their old ways of running the AFC North, especially with the steps backward that the Ravens took. Overall, I have them finishing the season as the 1st overall seed in the AFC with a record of 13-4.
