MSTE

Michiel Stehouwer was born in Leiden, The Netherlands in 1972. He moved to Amsterdam when he was twenty-three years old to lift his passion for electronic music to a higher level. In 1992 he founded an association, named Q-events that organized events and parties. Big names in the international DJ world were booked by this organization.
Meanwhile, Michiel started studying at the school of audio engineering. He specialized in audio engineering as well as Electronic producing and graduated in 2005.
His music is a mix of techhouse, progressive house, deep tech,deephouse and trans house. He brings these together through a fusion between heavy bases and flowing melodies. Starting from 1996 up until now he grew from a part-time home producer into a professional and fulltime musician.
Growing up he dreamt of recording and releasing his music. It expresses his creative mind. “Music is art, and I hope that I can inspire others with my tracks”.
Michiel admires DJ Dimitri, Guy J and most of his label, Patriece Baumel, Sebastein leger, Solomun, Carl Craig, Tale of us and Laurent Garnier among many others. He experiences their style as a whole different, unique one that distinguishes itself in the genre. This style formed a great source of inspiration and he dreams of developing a style of his own that he will be known for.
Recently he released music on various labels, mainly progressive house & melodic house music.
In 2018 and 2019 he has released on labels Just Movement,Lodjiya, Lamp, Lincor, Dog and Man, Kommunikation Records, First Impressions, Connected Records Holland, Blanc Stone Digital, Lups records and Tripout music.

GERWIN VAN ENGELENBURG

Veenendaal, Utrecht (Netherlands) based techno producer.
Started out as DJ ERROR in the late '98's and played in all kind of clubs and parties across the Netherlands even winning the first dj contest (Planet Rose) of the legendary club Doornroosje.
In 2018 he got introduced by a be-friended colleague to the wonderful world of hardware and decided to start again with electronic music production (after some attempts in the early 2000’s). It didn’t take long to produce and release his first EP as GVE which immediately got played by the legendary Dimitri on Awakenings Festival. The first couple of releases where basically straight live-recordings from the machines. Things were stepping up when his track “orbiting” created an opportunity to work with industry-veteran Alexander Koning (percep-tion, kingstreet, bellboy). This collaboration resulted in his debut EP (Orbiting) as Gerwin van Engelenburg which got picked up by the likes of Ian O’ Donovan and others. This eventually lead to his release “Quadrupel” EP on the main label Percep-tion with an excellent remix from Alexander Koning which got played by John Digweed in his bunker show.
Influences
The Streets of rage soundtrack for the sega genesis were some of his first early memories when it comes to electronic music. As for artist/djs his main influences are Surgeon, Laurent Garnier and Dimitri which you can hear in his productions a mix of raw sounds but always with a melodic touch.
