Agree to Disagree podcast in which the host, Nicolas Ehringer, will discuss a hot topic with a guest each episode

We are still going strong - The next episode, "A Chain Reaction" is now live! My apologies on the delay in getting this released, (we actually recorded in mid-April) work and vacation got in the way a bit.

Anyways, in this episode I talked with Lucas Pitch about the recent supply chain issues, his experience working in the industry, and potential solutions. Lucas is an incredibly intelligent and thoughtful person, and I have learned so much talking to him both on air and off air about this topic. It was a blast having him on, and I hope y'all enjoy the episode!

P.S. As of today, I have absolutely no idea what the next episode will be about or who I want to have on. If any of you end up reading this and have any interest in coming on, (or know someone else who may) please do not hesitate to reach out.

Enjoy the videos and music that you love, upload original content and share it all with friends, family and the world on YouTube.

Good morning, y’all!

Apologies for the delay, but Episode 6, “Boss of the Bride” is live! The next two episodes are a bit different just in that they are more topical, but they have both been fun to record and interesting to me!

In this episode I talked with Rachel Giles who owns her own wedding planning business, Honey and Co. Weddings! Among other things, we talked about Rachel’s journey from college to making the jump to starting her business, the wedding planning industry, and what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur.

Overall, I thought that Rachel was a ton of fun to talk to. She has great energy, and everything she has done to this point to start and run her business has been incredibly impressive for me to hear and to learn about!

Please check out her website if you or anyone else you know has any weddings coming up, and I hope y’all have a great Easter weekend - The Lord is Risen!

Good evening, y'all! I know it's been over a month since our last episode, but I promise we did not fall off of the Earth lol!

We actually just finished recording an episode that was a blast, and we should have it finished sometime in the next week or two.

Super excited to release it, and y'all have a great night!

Y'all, I know this is basically a pointless post until we post the actual episode, but I just wanted to share that we just completed recording for our fifth episode where we discussed health and how it looks for different people.

From my perspective, this was an extremely fun episode to record, and I'm so excited to share it with y'all in the next week or so!

Hello Friends! For anyone interested, I know it has been about a month since our most recent episode release! We actually have another episode in the works, but due to illness, travel, and inclement weather in Dallas over the past 2 weeks or so, it has been delayed!

We are hopefully going to get it recorded this week or the next, and it is certainly a topic that I am super excited to talk about and share, but I did want to go ahead and post this as a heads up! I didn't forget, and we aren't slacking over here, just a couple of items out of our control!

As always, please reach out to me if you have topics you want to talk about, or if you are interested in coming on, I hope everyone has a fantastic week!

Episode 4, "Get Educated" is live! (Well, technically it was live 4-ish days ago, but due to the holidays, I'm a bit delayed in posting about it!) Sidetrack, I typically don't like to post about the podcast until I have a chance to go back, listen to the full episode, and get a feel for the complete conversation and what all was discussed.

Anyways, as you can guess, this episode is about education. My guest is Lindsey Feliciano, a longtime family friend and teacher! While the episode focuses a lot on elementary level education, we touch on topics including the impact of covid on school, the effectiveness of standardized tests, the purpose of school, technology's impact on students, the debate around the removal of "extra-curriculars", (recess, gifted and talented program, sports, arts, etc.), and parental involvement.

I just want to say how much I enjoyed recording this episode! I realized how little I understand about the education system, and I really appreciated getting to speak with Lindsey about her career. Going forward, I know that education is an extremely important topic, with so many areas to discuss, debate, and learn about. I have many friends and family members who are involved with the education system, and I would love to have future episodes on the topic!

Hope y'all have a great night, and hope whoever listens to/watches the episode learns something new, or shares an opinion on something we discussed!

Emily Ehringer killing it on production as always ❤️

Introducing Episode 3, "Dive Into Baptism". As the title might suggest, this episode is very Christian-heavy, and I've actually been fairly nervous to finally release it.

In addition to what I feel are the common worries and fears associated with publicly talking about religion, it feels like there are also so many ways to mis-speak, mis-interpret, or even fail to live up to the stuff we talk about in our day to day lives.

All in all, I have no idea if this podcast will be interesting or helpful. After listening to it after recording it, I realize that this is a lot more akin to us inviting y'all to sit in to our bible study than it is to us having a confident and settled conversation. With all of that said, I'd just like to preface this episode by saying that none of us claim to be experts or priests, and we are simply trying our best to understand the Bible, follow what it says, and share it as best as we are able! Please show us some grace where we inevitably get stuff wrong, and I would love to hear y'all's feedback for whoever listens. :)

In this episode we primarily discuss what baptism is, if it is necessary for salvation, and also how it fits into the discussion around faith and works. We also touch on a couple of "side" topics including infant baptism, public vs private baptism, and whether or not "once saved always saved" holds true. I believe Emily Ehringer did a great job of including the verses we are discussing in the YouTube video!

Guests this week were Cole Christian and Colton Smith.

Good evening!

Episode 2, "Battle of the Sexes" is now available. Unlike the title suggests, there is an unfortunate lack of physical combat, mind games, or even a measly game of Catan....

(We didn't do the Catan bc we all know which gender would win that one 😉)

Anyways, I'm super excited about this episode! We talk about where men and women are currently falling short, how each of us have experienced gender roles/norms in our lives, how men and women each experience the workplace, as well as a few other odds and ends.

Joining me this podcast was Emily Ehringer, Maddie Mcbride White, Alli Leach, Jordan White, Cole Christian, and Morgan Christian.

We talked for about an hour and a half, but I wish we could've talked for 5. I would love to have follow-up episodes on these and similar topics in the future for whoever is interested!

As always, you can find us on Spotify, Youtube, or wherever else you listen to your podcasts, and please provide any feedback!

Y'all have a great night!

Good morning y'all!

I think we will be releasing our first actual episode later today or tomorrow, but in the meantime I just wanted to share something else:

This weekend, we actually recorded a couple of future episodes that I am so excited about. Although they will likely not be released for a couple of weeks or months, (due to our podcast host, work schedules, editing time, and building in some buffer time to allow us to plan for later episodes) this weekend was overall just a huge encouragement for me.

I cannot express how grateful and thankful I am to have such great friends with such fantastic points of view and the selflessness and enthusiasm to take time out of their weekends to come hang out and talk about stuff that is (hopefully) meaningful!

Anyways, just wanted to share my excitement and gratitude. Y'all have a great rest of your day.

Good evening y'all!

Be on the lookout over the next weekend or two for the release of our first full episode "Is Being Open-Minded Overrated?".
In addition to generally screwing around and continuing to learn about the production side of a podcast (more on this later..), Cameron Ehringer, Tanner Shank and myself discussed changing people's minds, open mindedness, the pros and cons of holding strong opinions, and we closed with a quick talk about music snobbery!

As always, by beautiful wife Emily Ehringer was in the background doing a fantastic job of keeping the three of us in check and putting this whole thing together!

I am so thankful to have had these two guys on, and I can't wait to be able to share the full episode!

P.S. Your boring technical update of the week: Turns out, there is at least a decent likelihood that the main reason my audio was quiet during Episode 0 was due to the fact that we didn't have my mic plugged all the way in....

Hopefully the audio quality will be improved for this episode, and while we are continuing to sort out roadblocks with my computer as well as generally logistical issues (i.e. having a three person podcast with two mics) if we can continue to learn one new technical skill/solution every episode, then I would call it a success!

Hello! Episode 0 is now live which is super exciting.

This is not a typical episode, but just a chance for Emily and I to sit down, test out our set up, get used to talking in front of a camera and mics, and just provide an introductory conversation on what we envision this podcast looking like!

Recording this first episode was eye opening to see just how much we still have to learn about recording, editing, and technology in general. Some hurdles we ran into included:

- Macs apparently can't or at least struggle to recognize two separate mics that are the same type and brand...? (Our workaround for this was to record on two separate computers 😂hopefully this is not the long term answer).
- There are multiple types of video file formats, and lo and behold, the default setting for video recording for an iPhone 12 is not actually compatible with editing in iMovie on an 8-year old Mac...
- I do not know how to talk into a microphone and/or hold a consistent volume.

Anyways, I could not do absolutely any of this without my beautiful wife Emily Ehringer and her talents for producing and editing, so a major shout out and thank you to her! (Although I was low-key embarrassed when I found out she invited people to follow this page).

All the nonsense aside, stay tuned for Episode 1 to be released in a few weeks as it will be our first legitimate conversation!

In the meantime thank y'all so much for humoring us enough to follow this, and we are excited to keep growing!

Please listen to the podcast on Spotify (now) or on Google/Apple podcasts (eventually - we believe there is about a week's delay).
