HELL AND THE AFTERLIFE

The power of love works in two ways: it torments sinners, even as happens here when a friend suffers from a friend; but it becomes a source of joy for those who have observed its duties. As for me I say that those who are tormented in hell are tormented by the invasion of love. - St. Isaac the Syrian In our upcoming podcast "Challenging Questions" we get into the subject of God and hell. This led to some interesting conversations on what happens in the afterlife and what the bible says Jesus does for those that have died. I personally believe that we have received a small portion of teaching when it comes to things after death. The bible does not say much but it gives enough to bring hope, which is exactly what people need when it comes to this subject. Both heaven and hell are in the presence of the Jesus. It is however, two drastically different reactions to that same Jesus. At the end of the day we are either burning with pleasure or pain in the fire of His love. ARE CHRISTIANS AFRAID OF LGBTQ RIGHTS?

The following clip is taken from a much larger/longer conversation in our upcoming podcast "Challenging Questions". Please keep that in mind as you watch the video. This conversation sprung out of a question we were asked by a non-Christian. The truth is that people do not see what the church has done in the name of God as love towards the LGBTQ community. It has actually been viewed as oppression. I remember watching Ricky Gervais talk about God. The thing he said stuck with me. He said, and I am paraphrasing here, "If you tell me there is a God and that He is going to send people to hell, fine that doesn't affect me. But if you go on to say that you have to help him by stoning me to death, then we have a problem." The point can be said about Christians. If God is judge then let Him judge. He does not need your help. Why Christians have been so against basic human rights for the LGBTQ is not simply sourced in obedience, it is sourced in pride and fear. A pride that says we need to help God. A fear of what America might look like in a post-Christian culture. Overall we need to take a good look at ourselves and learn to love like Jesus. THIS QUESTION FRUSTRATED ME

This is a clip from our upcoming podcast "Challenging Questions". The question asked was from Christians about the LGBTQ community. If I am going to be honest the question itself is a common question but an embarrassing one because it reveals a lack of love at the end of the day. People may disagree but the LGBTQ community is the only group where I have noticed the church ready to jump at this question. The truth is our theology/practice does not match the unconditional love of God. There is change needed and for change to begin there needs to be dialogue. A DREAM FOR THE LGBTQIA

5 years ago I had a prophetic dream from the Lord about the LGBT and the next generation. God has set it in the hearts of the young believers to allow the LGBT into the Kingdom where the religious leaders of our day have kept them out. The main focus of the dream is that it needs to be Christ-centered. If it is not, it will be hijacked by some other purpose. Only the cross of Christ can make this amazing thing happen and bring transformation to the church. He has decided to do it through the younger generations. Glory! Welcome to 2021

What a week! 2021 is definitely continuing (if not escalating) where we ended in 2020. What happened at our nations capitol will be a disgrace remembered. Blood lust from all sides is rising and there seems to be little done for the cause of justice and peace. While many search for truth, Scripture shows us that this is exactly what happens to a nation when idolatry runs rampant. The church is not blameless either. We have contributed to the division and have even worshipped the idols of our nation. If anything 2021 will be a year where we let go of idols or destroy anything to keep them. Merry Quarantine Christmas!

This year we weren't able to celebrate Christmas with our families (like many others this year). Though we weren't able to have our usual Christmas we had a fun unusual one. I am so grateful for my kids because it made Christmas so much better :D. I know if it was just Sarah and myself it would be still be fun but it would not compare. So enjoy these quick home video.
