Make problem solving your passion.

Proceed to learn whatever that is needed to solve the problem cos only then will you develop competency and skills which cannot be boxed into an area of specialization, while gaining reputation of being a problem solver and hence becoming more valuable and useful.

Let's be Practical now....

Let's say You pick an area of specialisation & proceed to learn everything in that area. Now you have a set of solutions and hence you start to look for problems that fit the solutions. You're left with additional task of persuading others on the existence of problem. Money is then made after.

In Essence, You should always allow yourself to Learn before you Earn
