An incredible achievement by A Cut Above Knife and Leather Co LLC!

10,000 chisels in just one year is truly remarkable.

What makes this feat even more impressive is that this exceptional work comes from a one-man operation. Not only does Evan sharpen a variety of blades, but he also refinishes knives, designs custom pieces, and has launched a leather line, including straps for firefighting gear! It’s a true testament to his skill and dedication!

You’ve probably noticed that I’ve been quite absent…and for good reason.

Don’t worry - it won’t be forever.

You see, the whole reason I started this business is because of the freedom it provides. It allows me to be there for my little girls and my family.

This is the last summer before both of our little girls are in school full time & I made the choice to take a small step back and spend this summer with them, completely unencumbered.

I’ve scaled back on my client list for now & I’m taking this time with them to soak up all these special moments you see here. Without the worry of deadlines, meetings, and working in between playing. It was not an easy decision by any means but it felt right. It was needed & we have enjoyed every second of it.

I can’t and won’t overlook the fact that none of this would be possible for my company without the complete support of my amazing husband. I told him my wishes for this summer and asked him if we could swing it & he was 100% behind me.

We only have so much time with the girls before real life begins and I intend to take complete advantage of that - for them, for me and for our family.

Don’t worry - come September, I’ll be accepting clients once again & will hit the ground running.

Until then, I am all theirs ❤️
