Man kan ju göra något bra av så mycket. Fick talförbud av doktorn för att vila min hals och började då leka med andra uttryckssätt, och inspelat material med min röst. La ihop det med vad en filmskapare hade uttryckt till mig på en föreläsning, om hur det ska vara så många snabba klipp i vår tid och att allt ska gå så snabbt och att många börjar tycka det är jobbigt, samtidigt som vi inte vill ha tråkigt, gud förbjude att det skulle vara långa klipp där inte så mycket händer som för handlingen framåt! Gjorde en video med dessa idéer i huvudet. Väldigt snabbt gjort, på ca 10min, och jag gillar att ha gjort den så mycket att jag delar den här. En till sak som är kul med den är att musiken är så lugn, och att texten är seriös, samtidigt som videon är halvgalen. My dear cousin helped me set up a studio in my computer. I combined our very first recording with some pictures my very talented friend Malin took when we recently went to London together on holiday. Highgate cemetery is very beautiful and it has guided tours which I very much recommend. For me this video is to be interpreted symbolical, I wrote the song thinking about sorrow and pain in life and how to cope with it. I liked the idea of using statues instead of real people to express feelings. It gives it a sort of historical connection, since people through out history have had to cope with difficult feelings, and how do you do that? I know that anyone who listens to the song and sees the pictures will add their own feelings about life and the mysteries in it to it. I love old recordings, especially of old blues... Made me think; If you make a really lousy recording, instead of complaining over the poor sound quality, why not be inspired?
This demo was recorded using a friends mobile phone, in the summer of 2011. Just in the beginning you can hear her say "soon", in swedish. It makes for a nice presentation of a demo I think, since a demo can be ones way of saying; this is just the beginning... :)
The photos were taken by me, 2011-2012, then altered somewhat in my laptop, Corel Paintshop Photo Pro X3, video made in Windows Moviemaker. No it's not fancy, it's simple play, as always... :) /Your humble history teacher
