The Damn Fuche... Podcast was founded by a group of now life long friends who all first met at St. Andrews University (SAU), Laurinburg, NC whilst playing football (soccer). The group consists of Marty ‘TheFuture’ (Fuche) Phillips (who the pod is named after), Ben ‘Weez(y)’ Farwell, Zimi ‘The General’ Stewart, Lehlogonolo (Hlogi) ‘BNR’ Maredi, Bakare ‘Baks’ Aliu and Jack ‘BBC’ Postlethwaite. We called ourselves NFL and the name has stuck and will continue to do so.
What started off as an idea to bring the boys back together finally came to fruition when we committed to the podcast. Ever since then we haven’t looked back. We wanted to bring something different to the podcast world; not something where one person talked for minutes on end about boring topics, not to throw loads of stats at the audience, not to confuse the audience with topics and stories that causes them to feel lost or go back to previous podcasts to understand. We wanted to create a podcast that has the vibe of mates just coming together having a chat about their love of sport and music, reminiscing about their time at SAU and stories to go along with that time period. We will also discuss current affairs and topics that are happening in the world at the time of that podcast.
The Damn Fuche... Podcast is unfiltered with plenty of swearing, multiple people talking over one another and just getting wild as a whole. However this is what makes our podcast authentic; unedited, engaging the audience and making you feel you’re in the room with us during the discussion.
