Happy Teacher’s Day. India celebrates Teacher’s Day in September 5 every year to appreciate all the teachers.

In 1962, India’s second President Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan took office. He was an academic, his students wanted to do something special for his birthday, and he requested instead to observe September 5 as Teacher’s day, to appreciate the contribution of teachers to the society.
Through this, Indian society pays its respect to its teachers!

Tag your favorite teacher to this post to thank them.

In North India, Diwali also marks the day when Lord Rama, his brother Lakshmana, along with Lord Rama's wife Sita, returned home to the city of Ayodhya. They were accompanied by the armies of monkeys and bears who helped them defeat the demon-king Ravana. It is believed that all of Ayodhya was lit up with lamps to celebrate this.

So Diwali symbolises victory of GOOD OVER EVIL!
