We’ve been sitting on this one for a while and we are absolutely buzzing to be able to share it.
We’d like to introduce @six_cnnctns as our official beer partner for season 2.
As a podcast that aims to bring together the benefits of having a beer with a mate for your mental health we were conscious of the message we were putting out and as fate would have it 6 connections are on the same mission.
In a world that claims to be more connected than ever, where we’re apparently only ever six degrees of separation away from anyone else, it’s still not always easy to open up.
What if you could turn that separation into connection, with one purposeful conversation that helped a mate?
They’ve developed some amazing products linking the magic of QR codes with tasty beer to ensure you’re only ever one scan away from lifting the lid on some very tough conversations
We’be linked their shop in our bio so go check them out and bag yourself a tasty little discount using ‘BEEREYE10’

I wrote this poem in 2018, I was about to watch all my closest mates graduate after dropping out of Uni and for the first time in about 18 months I actually felt happy and content about where I was at in my life.
I never really intended to share it, it was more a letter to myself after reflecting and seeing how far I’d come after what was hopefully the roughest period of my life.
This week it’s mental health awareness week & it feels like a good time to share it. Not to boast about how content I am with my life now or how my luck seems to have turned, but as a reminder to myself, my mates & everyone else who follows this page that there is still a massive way to go.
I’ve had the honour of speaking to a lot of blokes since we launched BeerEye and without their honesty and bravery I probably never would have had the courage to record this video.
Pubs are opening up again & we’re able to see the people dearest to us properly for the first time in over a year, So if you’ve not seen someone in a while or they’ve gone a little quiet. Drop them a text- They may have just changed their number but it’s more likely they’ll be f**king buzzing to hear from you.
Cheers x 🍻
When Jake and I came up with the idea of the BeerEye Pubcast last November, during what was particularly sh*t period of lockdown. We had no real idea as to where we’d end up or how it would be received.
From a podcast between two mates who wanted to get their demons off their chests talking all sorts of sh*t around beer and the taboo subject of mental health right through to surpassing 2000 downloads and hosting some of the most amazing individuals either of us have met has been a real heartwarming experience.
With the pubs opening up and the world starting to look a little more exciting we feel it’s a good time to call a halt on season 1. We’re not overly sure what Season 2 will bring but what we can guarantee is some more amazing guests with even more outrageous stories, hopefully a slightly better theme song and undoubtedly some sh*t chat.
If you’ve listened, liked, shared, commented or reviewed the pod over the last few months in anyway, thank you so so much! I don’t think we quite realised the effect talking about our stories with mental illness and giving a platform to others to tell their stories would touch as many people as it has.
Anyway, emotional post over.
Love to you all, see you soon!
I feel like every week we say something about having our eyes further opened and amazed by the honesty and bravery of our guests but both were shown in abundance by Tom this week. A man who’s been to the bottom of the canyon and lived to not only tell the tale but do it with pride and true inner strength. Out tomorrow x
If you haven’t had the chance to give episode 6 a listen yet then I would highly suggest you do. Seb shared his tips on how he overcame his challenges and struggles.
Ep #4 with @porteous52 is available on Spotify and Apple Music now so make sure you go and check it out.
Seb discussed living with body Dysmorphia and how it shaped his behaviours and day to day life.
A truly eye opening discussion we’re grateful we had the chance to have.
Reach out to your mates.
Not really sure how to describe this one- without being overly spiritual or sounding like a floaty Wanker, sitting down for a few beers and hearing Sebs story really flipped a switch in my head as to my relationship with my own body and the standards I hold myself too. Will be a very interesting one to listen to for you lot I’m sure of it.
Not sure what to caption this one; we were sat flabbergasted for a good 10 minutes after. Possibly the peak of The Pubcast
EP #3 Teaser.
We sat down with fitness influencer Tilly Hulse and delved into how she deals with creepy side of being an influencer and how Jake has found it having a sister in a similar position with a particular ‘big dick daddy’.
