The CSOA family mourns the passing of jazz pianist Ramsey Lewis, who died today in his Chicago home at age 87. Lewis appeared in Orchestra Hall on numerous occasions over the course of more than 50 years, most recently in 2017 on the Symphony Center Presents Jazz series. In a 2015 performance at Ravinia Festival, where he served as Artistic Director of Jazz for more than 20 years, Lewis made his CSO debut at age 80 in the world premiere of his Concerto for Jazz Trio and Orchestra. He was a Chicago jazz legend who spread his brand of Chicago jazz across the globe. He will be sorely missed.

1-3pm - Short film screenings with dance breaks (rhythm exercises and teach a "dance phrase")
3-3:30pm - Move to studio theater on 1st floor for Q&A / meet and greet (water and snacks will be provided)
3:30-4pm - Seated dance workshop (chairs will be available in studio theater)
