5 days 2800+ km trip and the van ran like a top. Even did a few off pavement sections.

It’s finally here…
Upgraded the Subaru to something a little bit more stout for my travels/adventures
It was my first time importing a car from Japan and everything went swimmingly. I tried to keep it a secret as best I could but it’s hard to keep a secret like this.
I have lots of plans for this van and even more adventures planned. It will be nice to take it for a test trip car camping at this weekend.
Lots of get content coming down the pipeline in the future.

Well that’s a wrap on the annual paddle sports get together.
Thanks to all the amazing sponsors for donating such awesome prizes.
We managed to reach our donation goal and completely fill a fan with donations/non-perishables.
As for the fishing it wasn’t my day but I definitely learnt a lot from the other anglers that attended. Need to up my finesse game and not just throw cranks and topwater all day.
I also learnt what a positive mind set can do to change the outcome of the day thanks to .
Hopefully next year I’ll get a fancy sit-ontop fishing kayak but till then; old yeller does the trick. 🤠

Little late on a post but opener was a success….
Managed a few bucketmouths and had my first pike double out in a long ass time w/ .
I had to leave early for a work party but and absolutely crushed them after I left.
All my fish were caught on an 8wt fly rod w/ a balanced minnow pattern.

Thowback to when i got my first musky a little while ago. Really gave the spinning rod a work out.....
I cleared some weeds off of my lure; cast back out. Took a picture of the sunset; then about 30 seconds later, this monster hit!
Ive been hoarding a few of my youtube videos to be a bit more consistent in uploading in the future. so youll get the full version down the road.

This decent 🌈BOW smashed my hand tied egg fly and gave a good tussle on the 3wt....
I found them pretty picky tonight tonight with none landed until right at the end of the session. 3 casts and 3 fish, ending with my biggest rainbow this year.... so far.
Couldnt ask for it any better.

Doesnt matter matter how small they are, when you have the right sized gear anything can put up a good fight.
This is footage from a few weekends ago, I'm still a little bit behind on editing however im trying to catch up. (like eveything else) 🤣😅

Starting off the work wee with a bang. No biggens but around 2 dozen fish in a few hours aint too bad.
I got kinda lucky with this camera shot so hopefully you guys like the editing....
Im trying to learn a new software right now so it is taking me a bit of time but i think after this clip i am learning some of the features and getting a hang of it.
