Imaginary Music vol. I is the first collection of music for film by Los Angeles-based film composer and recording artist Cato ( ASCAP Screen Team ). It presents a selection of compositions leaning toward the ambient / experimental, taken from his feature, documentary and short film scores, composed over the past twenty years plus, including some newer, related pieces. Each track is purposefully disconnected from the context in which it was created to support a stand alone listening experience, leaving the listener to form their own stories and images.
Imaginary Music vol. I is out digitally April 7th on Gilmour’s own Kiite Records label, and available through Bandcamp and the usual streaming platforms. Stay tuned for more upcoming teasers.
