Well, it’s a new year and if you need a laugh then today’s blog is for you. Just when Lou thought having a stray hair on her chin was bad, it’s gotten worse. Here’s an excerpt: “One unsuspecting day (which started off like any other day) I was brushing my teeth when I noticed what I thought was a white speck on my chin. A stray toothpaste bubble? Nope. I wiped it with my hand—still there. Towel swipe? Still there. That’s when my bifocal-enhanced eyes betrayed me with the cold, hard truth: it was a grey hair. Just chilling on my chin. There is so much talk about the negative impact of being lonely or isolated. However, remember there is a difference between being lonely and being alone. Sometimes you need to experience silence to hear the still quiet voice to provide guidance or confirmation for what lies ahead. Often the only time you can get the needed silence is to sit with yourself.
